New Owner! Need some shipping info

Well, I finally did it! I pulled the trigger on a 2001 Dodge Viper and I'm extremely excited. Now I just have to get it home, so my question is, can anyone recommend a good shipper, and do any give any sort of discount to VOA members? Ive gotten quotes from intercity, reliable and passport, all were about the same.

I believe Passport offers a VOA discount if your a member, but not positive about that. I used Reliable when I shipped mine. They were great.

WOW... You finally got one.... You will have to share the photos when it finally makes it home... Did you buy a modified Viper like you had talked about doing or did you buy a stock Viper??? you will have mixed reviews most likely on how to transport the Viper... I'm sure you're good a good recommendation on here..

I did! I bought one from a fellow member here down in north carolina. Its pretty much stock, but has all the improvement mods a lot of people recommend and a full exhaust. Car is insanely clean. I'm sooooo excited to get it home!

All are good choices , and should treat your car well. We have used all three at some point -- all new Vipers are delivered by Reliable and they have a new East Coast Terminal in New York. Intercity is based in the Boston area, and Passport is doing the shipping for VOA Homecoming 2 in New Orleans . Hence good choices all the way around.

I just used http://unitedroutes.com/ to get a GTS from Florida to WA. The rates were good and overall the experience was fairly good. The shipment was delayed a couple of days due to the drivers wife having a medical emergency but I can't fault them for that. The car made it perfectly fine (enclosed) and the driver seemed respectful of the car.

Used Sunday Transport to get my Viper from Viper Exchange in Texas to Maryland. They did a pretty good job no complaints.

I have used Intercity a couple of times and was extremely pleased. We were able to stay in phone contact with the driver. They treated the car like it was their own. No drop off-transfers. Very pleased. The one time I tried Reliable they proved to be Unreliable.

I used Thomas Sunday from Jersey to IL and back. Great experience. Also used InterCity with no problems.

I bought mine in Virginia, flew in with a buddy of mine, we spent the night and drove it home to Michigan. Had a blast. Granted the time of year isn't the best and you don't want to make the run on old tires when it's cold and/or wet.
