Sure is a lot of whining here about Dave. Most of the long time Viper club/Forum members know how to deal with him. He has a lot of Gen 1/2 knowledge. He's a smart ass. Who cares? Seems that this whole thread came about because Dave posted some advice on hoods. He gave his reasons for buying a new one to "store" for later. Another poster made a stupid remark and took a shot at Dave. Like some of us, he will push back. If it offends some of you special snowflakes, find your little "safe spot and grab your blanky". The rest of us, including Dave, are having a laugh at your expense. Man up

Correct! I'm aware of that and I'm presuming this is all in fun as it should be. But too often what starts as play ends up costing one of the mods a half hour of editing, cajoling, mending others forum relations, memorializing actions and then being called a forum nazi. Fun work ehh?

You avoided mentioning the critical issue. Most do push back. But most all push back while still remaining reasonably civil. Sadly, Dave hasn't. If you consider civility to represent a lack of "manliness", then we surely differ in that opinion. Regardless, and despite your claim to the alternative, the majority on this forum consider Dave's responses to be unacceptable (as the forum guidelines indicate).

And for the record, I'm quite comfortable with my blanky.

Dave started a thread on the alley, "please please please make it forever this time", pleading for a permanent ban from the VOA. I don't care either way; but, if it is what he wants, just do it and both sides will be satisfied. Dave will be able to say he is in the same exclusive club as Free2go here, and TF at the alley.
