There are some small gaps built into in the numbering system, so I'd venture we're very close (based on number 1002 being issued), but not necessarily there.

Sorry but we are at 946 paid members through yesterday. We could make it as there were 13 signups yesterday. At that pace we will break 1000 but no guarantees.

Yep, there are gaps in the numbering (some sub-100 that are being reserved for SRT folks and officers and a few scattered #'s throughout). There are also people who bought numbers above the current 1000. In the end as a rule of thumb, look at the last # in the list and subtract around 40. That'll give you a good idea.

If you want a charter membership, join before 12/31/2013. It would be unfair to grant someone "charter" status just because they later decided that it would be a good thing. You want to be a charge member? Sign up by Tuesday.

Plenty of folk have regions who have been kept completely in the dark of why the VOA exists, which is probably a point to consider.

I do doubt, everybody knows about the VCA's melt down. However people do ask why the VCA is still up and who is making fun of the members.

We had to determine a date. 12/31/2013 seemed like a good one and then we could hit the ground running in 2014 as a first full year of membership. It's unfortunate that some regions have been kept in the dark - but I am not sure how changing a date would increase the enlightening process. It's frustrating that we cannot communicate directly with passionate Viper folks who, for whatever reason, have been left out of the loop regarding the "issues" with clubs in 2014.
