Ohio VOA Convoy to and from NVE2 - Details and Hotel Info

Hey Everyone!!

Here are the details for the caravan to NVE2 in New Orleans. This caravan will be leaving from Columbus, OH and picking up cars along the way.

Please note, we are planning to arrive one day early in New Orleans.
- We will arrive on Tuesday May 10th.
- The welcome dinner is Wednesday May 11th.

So, if you are joining the convoy make sure your reservations at the host hotel in New Orleans is from Tuesday 5/10 - Sunday 5/15.

For each travel day, we will follow a similar departure schedule:
- 8:00am - Group Meeting on the plan for the day
- 8:15am - Start the Vipers and depart!

A more detailed itinerary of planned stops for gas, food, rest, etc will be available closer to the event.


Travel Details on the way to New Orleans

Sunday 5/8 - Optional arrival to Columbus, OH the night before we depart.

Monday 5/9 - Travel from Columbus, OH to Huntsville, AL.

* I will pick a lunch stop in Louisville, KY for Monday and send it out later so that anyone driving down from Indiana can meet up with us there.

Tuesday 5/10 - Travel from Huntsville, AL to New Orleans, LA.


Travel Details on the way back to New Orleans

Sunday 5/15 - Travel from New Orleans, LA to Knoxville, TN.

Monday 5/16 - Scenic tour of the Smoky Mountains.

Tuesday 5/17 - Travel from Knoxville, TN to home.

Booked ,booked and booked again. We are all set for one hell of a road trip. When the weather breaks it's off for 4 new tires thanks Jon B. All fluids changed and topped off. All ready have the track tools and helmet stored. Wife just asked me how much room she will have for her stuff. I told her they have stores where we are going....... I ain't never seen a Viper with a roof rack and not about to start now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See Y'all in May

Thanks Venomiss! Is there any update for what we should do for arrival at the hotel on Tuesday evening? My thought was that we could all just go straight to the parking garage because we need to park outside of the club parking block anyways.

I'd like to put the word out that VOA member Alex Louque who is sponsoring the car wash facilities at the 5th floor of the garage, is also offering $20 wash and window treatment; $50 wash, light tire dressing, window treatment and hand waxing. He is planning to offer these services Tuesday - Thursday.

I've scheduled for a Viper wash on Tuesday upon arrival, he'll be working 4pm - midnight that night. Have to call or text to schedule (504) 236-2646.
