Been noticing this trend for some time, but getting larger. Those viewing now Gen 1-3:70, Gen 4:39, Gen 5;243
As for the other site, those viewing now Gen 1-3:146, Gen 4:80, Gen 5:44
Need a membership drive for G1-4 owners??

Unless I've been missing something, those numbers are people viewing individual forums, not Viper generation memberships.
Are you looking to start something because it could get real ugly...
any new Viper news is always exciting, it is not like we are waiting to hear the news about the GEN IV RT/10 are coming, that ship has sailed. I enjoy reading about all the cars, but the hype on the new car is intoxicating.

Hard to erase 24 years of history the vca was the only club for gen1-4 the voa has become more of a gen v forum, but now that the viper is on the chopping block not sure what's going to happen.
There is a LOT of content on the old VCA site, lots of technical posts and virtually anything under the sun.
The Gen V basically started fresh here and this is where most Gen V owners post.
Consolidate into just the VOA already! It is time. Other group does not have much else but the historical data. Now is time to do this. Just buy it from them, I don't care. I would vote for that.
At least we all share one forum. I noticed how Huracan Talk forum emerged from Lamborghini Talk forum even though the latter has an H thread.
All snakes are cool. I had a pic of a 92 gen I on my wall when it came out. I was in 10th grade and have wanted a snake since
Gen 1 & 2 owners are dwindling since half of them are in junkyard heaven...
I still have Gen I running Great and Strong 2016 Viper Photos 001.jpg
Also, that just shows how many people are viewing which particular forums, not necessarily who owns what. So perhaps, some of the members who have been around for years are in the Gen V section to be helpful to all these new owners who might have questions about Viper ownership. But as LifeIsGood pointed out, if ya'll are trying to start something it could get ugly, and we previous gen owners are down for a rumble.
How many times are you going to rehash the same old BS about CATS, gears, and headers on the previous GEN cars. Seriously, I own a GEN II and it's like watching ground hog day. If I had the cash I'd own a GEN V, it's actually interesting to watch the progress of these cars rather than get excited about some old has been. Reading forums about breaking cars, worn weather stripping, crap wiring harnesses, sagging doors and hoarding parts is for the birds.
Alomg those same lines, I think that the Gen V and older Gens (especially Gen I and II) tend to attract groups of people with VERY different personalities which may not always mix harmoniously. There is some crossover obviously, but that does not seem to be the general rule.
That's my observation.
With it being fairly new, wouldn't expect much more. It has the power that early gen 2 owners are trying to achieve with bolt ons and for what it costs, most aren't going to be doing a TT upgrade in multiple threads lol. As time goes on you will see more how to threads as they break and warranty runs out I think.
Your right about that, but that's always going to happen no matter what the Generation. The reality is that new Generations bring in new technology and most importantly money. What I do to my Gen II has a minimal effect on the future of the Viper. What Chrysler or whatever the name of that foreign entity flavor of the year owner does for the Viper has the biggest impact. The ACR arrives and suddenly it's a game changer. That and the fact that we have a back door development operation between Arrow and Viper Exchange, uh yes I'll take another helping of the Gen V forum. Each time the Viper has gone away, it's taken a bigger effort to reel in the old customers. Car goes away, money goes away, back door efforts go away. So as far as I'm concerned, the only forum that matters is the gen V forum. It's going to get really good for at least the next year and then I suppose it'll be up to the old guys to hold the fort together as the guys with the money will have long forgotten about all this and will have moved on to the next flavor of the year.
Haha, you're remembering it wrong! I remember a couple threads in close proximity, where the owners were curious that the supplied floor mats seemed like they were for the wrong car. It was the general consensus, that having a car manufactured after the Toyota "unwanted acceleration" fiasco, you get the square area under the accelerator cut out of it. Might as well just wrap us all in bubble wrap before we leave the house these days.........
I for one, love my latte holder! But the car comes with a rubber mat to replace it, if I feel like pretending I'm a real man. lol. I can take a joke.
At these point is not about the vca or voa is about saving the history and all the information from the legacy of the viper. We really need one forum especially since the viper is not going to be in production anymore. Maybe a fresh star with a new name that people can recognize like viper club. The # of members from all the clubs are just a mere shadow of what they used to be. M2C
