    Hub Bearings

Before I need one I was wondering if anyone has replaced the bearing only in their hubs vs. buying a hub assembly? It just seems that if they can press one in that it can be pressed out and replaced? .....with Chrysler ones fairly expensive and aftermarket ones pretty much crap unless you go with the scf ones also expensive it was something I was wondering about. Would be nice to get a US made bearing and replace it only,,,, anyone done this or have info bout this? thanks in advance....

    I don't think the bearings are serviceable. It's a R&R part.

yea they sell em' as a complete but other car brands have the hub and sealed bearing that are sold separately, bearing is pressed in and retained by snap rings ... I don't see what the big deal is especially on a non abs hub,,, I know that it's faster for a shop tech to replace the unit whole but I grew up actually fixing things not just opening a box and replacing the whole thing.... I am wondering if someone else might have tried... had a bearing part number???????
