Cam arrived recently which has been the long wait. Greg is getting the long block knocked out now and should be going together with the car soon!

Engine is finally done , and the car is fired up. It's in the process of being tuned and tested atm. Here is an idle video and a graph of the first dyno pull on 8 psi. Great job by D3 and Chris Delgado definitely worth the wait.

Sounds great but a year without the car seems excessive when Nth and Calvo do these builds in weeks

  10. #60
Indeed Nth and Calvo get TT builds done in under a month. Nth just did a full custom cam, motec, etc and had it running in no time. I'd be pissed

Maybe D3 wouldn't release the car until it was paid for...

Nope, that's not the case. The engine stayed 1 year at the engine builder to build, not sure why and didn't get a concrete answer for the reason. The turn around of delivering the car was supposed to three month from receiving the car. I already paid more than 50% of the agreed price and the rest when it's fully done and tested.

Hamad a business contract with services rendered that extends beyond an agreed time frame should incur penalties

Definitely , the big downside is the very long wait , but it's nearly done , if it is polished finished with the aimed whp and reliability and driveability, i won't have issues at this point and i would be happy.

Glad to hear it's almost done, but an entire year for a build is ridiculous.

Isn't this the first turbo built for D3? If so I am not surprised it took a year. All the research and development, trial and errors along with a aftermarket cam and complete engine build. Not to mention all the dyno time and tuning. Cage, parachute fabrication. Builds like this don't happen over night. Especially on a first time attempt. This was not a "final production" kit they just slapped on to a stock motor. I can tell you from owning multiple cars with certified cages that it takes time to even do that correctly.

1000+whp at only 8psi!!! Lets give props where its due guys. More than half of us on here don't even have half the money it takes to build this caliber of a car.

Hamad, mubruk man. Get lots of videos for us of this beast when you take delivery! Enjoy.

Greg does great work, but unfortunately he is not the fastest! That is great power for only 8psi! Is that on pump or E85? What's the goal with this beast?

Knowing firsthand the work that Greg does you'll have a permanent shit-eating grin on your face for many years to come. That dyno pull is monstrous. Congrats!
