Installing Xtremes fuel rail covers but have questions on install

So I bought there full carbon covers and they look amazing. Just didn't like the red stock ones

    Questions on install:

    1) Taking off my carbon X brace but what should the torque be when I put the bolts back?

    2) How do the stock covers come off? are there some clips of do they just pop off? any tricks?

    Thanks guys

Not sure on the covers but I just replaced my x brace bolts with ARP black bolts this weekend. Torque should be 15 ft-lbs torquing from passenger rear, driver rear, driver front, and then passenger front.

Don't have the torque info, but the covers are connected by 4 rubber plugs near all 4 corners on each cover. Pull up gently at each of the four corners and it just pops off. Look at the bottom of your replacement cover to see where those plugs are located. You will reuse the stock rubber plugs and insert them in your extreme covers.

Not to throw a wrench... but I remember torque being 18-20 IIRC

Depending on how comfortable you are, you can slide the covers on and off without removing the x-brase. That being said, it only takes a minute to remove the x-brase eliminating any risk to damaging those pretty new covers.

Thanks guys from that old thread

"At the factory we use metric torque measurements. we torque them to 20 nm that's newton meters
When installing the X-brace be sure the HAND start all 8 bolts. We tighten the passenger rear, drivers rear, drivers front, then passenger front bolts.
The front bolts do have to go through the X-brace and fender support then into the frame. So be sure all that lines up."

    20nm is about 15 lbs
I might as well take of the x brace it will take 2 min
