    New Enthusiasts

Hello to all. I am new to the thread. Please forgive me if I am being taboo but I do not yet own a Viper. I have driven many, mostly Gen 2's and a few Gen 3's. I served in the Army for about 4 years. I was infantry but never went over seas because I was stationed at Arlington National Cemetery. I have since become a certificated A&P mechanic, working on Helicopters mostly. I have owned a couple of sports cars in the past, an 01 911, a 78 Lotus Esprit, and a 78 Corvette but really have always loved Vipers the most. I have a seizure disorder that has tremendously limited my working abilities but whenever I can get my own company profitable I hope to pick up a Gen 2. I look forward to reading about all of your exploits and gaining an education about ownership so I can keep my dream alive. Best wishes to you all and Merry Christmas.

You are most welcome here, Viper or not. It's the love of Vipers (and motorcars in general) that binds us.

Hope you enjoy and can, at some point in the near future, pick up a gently used and greatly loved Gen2 from a club member!

Welcome to the forum Adam! I'm a car nut and a vet as well and I'd be happy to give ya a ride if you're ever in the neighborhood. What part of the world are you in?

Glad to hear you are running down your dream. The Viper was my dream car and I had an 02. Unfortunately I lost my leg in a wreck avoiding a minivan. But I did everythig I could to get back in one. I refused to let my prosthesis stop me and less than a year later I was back in a Viper driving with a modified clutch pedal. Polarize yourself towards it and im sure it will happen sooner than later.

Welcome. And thank you for your service.

I believe that the Viper community is one of the best Car Communities out there. You will have access to many knowledgeable owners on this site, so finding the right Viper is just a matter of time.

When I owned my Corvette I had 2 friends that also owned one.. One of them now owns a Viper and the other still has a Corvette. You will make new friends with the other Viper owners and there is nothing cooler than going out to lunch or dinner and seeing a group of Vipers together. In the Viper community we get along no matter what generation of Viper we own. Some prefers the new Vipers others prefer the older Vipers and others it is what we can afford.

We try to support each other and make plans to get together just to build true friendships. At the end of the day it is just a car but one day your dreams of ownership will come true... Best of luck
