The big question is what are you going to do with the car now? If you are only buying for an investment and never drive it just put in storage for 20 years then the ACR will probably be worth more. I have a GTS and A new ACR, IF you drive them on the street there is nothing like the GTS for cruising. You can ride in it for hours. The ACR on the other hand is a more harsh ride. The ACR is not as vibrating or shaking type of ride as the GTS in race mode (ACR settings on 1) but hit some bumps in the road and the ACR will send it up your spine where the GTS won't do that even with it in race mode.
Buy the car you want for what you want to do with it. Hopefully that is you taking it out and enjoying it whether that is on the track or the street.

Enjoy it! Life is to short

I've been debating this issue myself. I already have a TA 2.0 (Number 4 Blue) but I was thinking about upgrading. While I do use the TA for the track I'm having trouble believing that I will get the most out of the ACR on the track. Am I really that good a driver to get the most out of the ACR? Doubtful. Heck I can't even get everything out of the TA on the track and it is probably better than an ACR on the street. Decisions, decisions.....

Great post. I believe many Viper owners, especially current G5 owners of SRT/GTS cars are considering the same thing. I am. If/when a solid announcement is made to end production, I will likely order a GTC TA2 or ACR. This thread helps me confirm the TA2 is probably better for me. Are there any posted times of the TA 2.0 at Laguna Seca vs the TA 1.0 and ACR times we all know of? I don't think I've seen any TA 2.0 track times from any venue...???

This is a simple decision for me. I have a TA and I do not want an ACR.

Most of my driving is on the street and I just don't see any advantage to a ACR unless you are a track rat and there are reasons why even someone that spends some time on the track may not want the ACR.

The new carbon brakes, while I'm sure are amazing will be VERY expensive to replace, when you spend time on the track all you really eat up is brakes and tires, both of which are far more costly on the ACR. The Carbon brakes also will not be too great on the street as they need a little heat in them to perform thier best.

I happen to have a TA with GTS interior being its one of the ten special editions that came that way in 14, it is the best of all worlds in my opinion. A GTC car can be had just like mine, nice interior, big stereo, TA track components.

The ACR will be more cumbersome on the street with its huge front spliter and I just cant stand how ricy the wing is when it comes to running on the street, I know... its great for down force but unless you are on a track its not going to do you any good, in fact all that arrow will slow you down if you are doing a pull on drag strip or the freeway.

Just my 2 cents but I think in a street fight you would actually be better off in a TA and that is where I spend most of my time.
