I remember this being discussed but having a hard time finding it with my phone. What is the minimum recommended temperature for driving on the kumho ecsta ACR
Autocorrect strikes again. I meant Kuhmo.

Pretty sure it is around 50 degrees.
Well the car is being trailered from Detroit to Ohio tomorrow and then I'm driving it to Virginia. Looks like the temp will be high 40s. Hope that isn't a problem
Just take it easy, and you'll be OK. I've been caught out in 30s on my Corsa. I took it easy, and didn't loose traction. I suspect the Kumhos will be trickier, but it is doable.
Switch the ESC to Rain mode, and be light on the throttle and around corners, and you'll be fine. Wait a few days and it'll be in the 70's here.
Are you in NoVA? Want to see this ACR!!
I'm new to the Kuhmos, but I can tell you from personal experience that the low temperature issue with moving the Michelin Sport Cup 2s around at low temperatures was heavy cracking of the sidewalls. GM and Michelin had a bit of a fight over this, and GM replaced a lot of tires in early 2015. I had some concerns when I ordered a new ACR with a late January delivery, but at least it will be trucked to Phoenix where temperatures won't be a problem. I do not know, however, if the Kuhmos carry the same low temperature concerns as the Michelins.

I have had the car out in low 40's and high 30's no issues. Just be smart and let tires warm up.
If you start off with the temps over 40* you should be ok. Just don't let the car sit at or below freezing and then drive off. Best, Allan
