Concerns with 2015/16 Engines??

I'm considering ordering 1 or maybe 2 2016's in the next few weeks and have been a bit concerned, while reading up on the 13's and 14's engine problems, that any issues may translate in to later models.

Has anyone had any, or heard of any issues with 15's or '16's?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

the 13/14's problems were isolated to a limited number of rod bearing failures due to the manufactor of the parts. all that failed were replaced or bought back as lemons. my first 14 had engine failure at 4500 and now i just crossed 14,500 in my current 14 and it's been bullet proof. i haven't seen/heard of any issues with 15's.

I had a failure on my 14. They put in a new 16 engine. I have zero concerns since i have a comp'd extended warranty for the troble. Fca will take care of any faliures with a brand new engine or buy back. However....i personally will never own this car not under warranty. Buy the extended warranty. $1500 through several dealers. 7 years of worry free fun.

I only know one 2015 motor that failed and it was a January or February build date. My 15 has a build date of April 2015. So far no issues.

Yeah its on the driver side door sticker. Mine is May 2015.

Yes, you can, on the door sticker of all cars, look for MMDDHH (month day hour)

So mine was built on the 17th of feb .. 7 am bright and early. Lol

She has about 800 miles.. One oil change done. No significant oil consumption so far.
