Congrats Will. This gives you 16 weeks to buy all the parts for it, because we all know you can't leave anything stock.
Great idea on picking it up and driving it home. 1-way plane tickets are cheap. Memories are priceless.

Can't wait to see the car in person, congrats Will!
I totally agree. As far as the modding goes, I loved the way my TA sounded with a tune and American Racing full exhaust but I just don't know if its worth it to ditch the warranty. If the heads/cam setup would make over 700whp I'd be more interested. I know my car with filter, tune, exhaust and ID pulley made 615whp and was a total blast. But even then, is more power needed really, no.
I'm sure you'll end up driving it as well!
Congrats!! A H/C package is a must if you ask me. A stock ACR-E looks a lot more aggressive than it sounds haha
You and I are both fans of nitrous, and one major benefit of nitrous is that it can be turned off. On a track-purpose car, this flexibility is awesome. The 100% stock ACR power level will scare the shit out of the majority of people on a road course. They will not be able to drive 75% of the limit, on stock power levels. The 580-600 rwhp range is a sweet spot for a TA or ACR. Just my opinion. That will keep the car track worthy, never have overheat issues, and a warranty.
If I were to build another straight-line Viper, based on the Gen 5, I'd start with a base SRT track pack car again. No aero drag, lightest model. Doing twins or a blower on an ACR makes me shrug. Not what the car was intended for. Going around a road course at half throttle would be annoying.
Congrats, great options and color!
Well…..16 weeks seems like so far away!!!
H/C DO IT. Totally different car Will and still road course ready. We are about to add a tweak or two to the package that I think you will like.
Andy
I can certainly understand the allure for the H/C package... I wanted it bad... but losing the warranty for me was just too much... soon as its up I'll be doing it too... but until that Dodge will be standing behind the engine/drivetrain....
Sounds gorgeous; best of luck with it.
One year from the 3 sellers....IIRC![]()
Congrats Will!!
Color combo for this one should look wicked.
Congrats Will! We need to have a shoot with the both of ours!
Congrats! I'm sure it will be worth the wait...
What a problem to have. I think anyone who is waiting 16 weeks for an ACR E is a pretty lucky dude. I love the choices you made. Was it hard to actually decide on the final choices given all the options?
That's going to be a killer setup. I'm getting the itch for another one soon. Wouldn't mind doing the cross country drive like you've done. Looks like a good time.
Honestly the hardest part was deciding to go 1 of 1 or not. I'm for sure blessed!
We put nearly 2000 miles on my TA driving it home, what an awesome trip. Hopefully this one will be similar. I had a thread dedicated to that trip if you wanted to check it out.
Will,
Congrats on the car, I figured it would only be a matter of time! The roadtrip should be a blast... let me know if you need any pointers on Detroit scene/foods, etc since that's my hometown area. There are some great tucked away places depending on what you're looking for.
Will,
Here's something to wet your appetite. I'm at 12 weeks and I got a picture of my billet silver/no stripes car on the "shaker" during QC checks. I guess something that slows things up a little is waiting for the enclosed shipping West (Phoenix). The only regret I have so far is that I didn't add the exterior carbon fiber package like you did, but I did get the CF engine bay brace. I think I should be able to add the CF brake ducts and rear panel at a later date??? Hope your wait is short!

Wow! Thank you, that just confirms that I made the right decision on color. That really does look understated, yet menacing.
I'm planning on adding an aftermarket carbon X brace or painting mine Billet Silver to match. TMK yes you can add the other carbon parts when you want to.
I also did a similar color - but a 1 of 1 color - 355F5 - silver with a hint of blue. My order went in on the 18th of December, so our cars might be quite close to each other... have you started getting any real updates on your car Junkie?
