Yes that was a very dramatic time frame. As far as I know everyone appreciated the ability to be able to chat there freely. There doesn't need to be another Alley.

The goal here is to be somewhere in between the old club forum and the Alley.

Most of our members here have leaned more towards wanting a Family site. Many have young kids who read these threads with their mom or dad looking at viper pix. We have to consider what's appropriate for younger club members.

Thank you, sybil. That is appreciated. I know we haven't always agreed on things, So I respect that you would say that about me instead of being petty like many people in this world would be.

It's true, I don't actually like negativity, rudeness, or people sayng things that come across as very hurtful to a lot of people on this forum because it means a lot to me. People in this community supported me through the most difficult thing I have ever gone through and they made a big difference in how well my recovery went. I really want to keep this forum a pleasant place for people to be. I also don't mind sticking up for other people because I can take it in case they can't. Also, if the forum becomes a rude or unpleasant place to be, I think we will lose the contributions of people who have a lot to offer but just don't want to deal with it or see all the BS going back and forth. As we are all aware, there are other sites for that. Most of us don't want that to be the case here. We are not trying to be a clone of the alley. The alley is what it is and what it wants to be, and that's good. That way people can have options for where and how they want to interact with each other. I'm not saying one person should rule this whole place censoring whatever they don't like. I would prefer that people on the forum remember that this is not their own personal playground because we collectively share it and try and be nice and respectful. We all make mistakes. We all forget our manners on occasion. We all take a joke too far once in a while. But when people habitually try to stir up trouble or act like jerks because they think it's fun, it actually makes the forums a less fun and less productive place.

So, for being up this late and in as much blinding physical pain as I am in tonight, that is about as clearly as I can express my thoughts on the subject. Still, thank you for the compliment. That was a classy thing to do, and quite frankly, it made me happy. Thank you.
