Transmission issues

I've had problems shifting into 3rd at WOT (I've always lifted). When trying to shift hard into 3rd gear, I miss it 8 out of 10 times. I thought it was potentially driver error, but then this finally happened... I did a 2nd-3rd gear pull 2 weeks ago and 3rd gear finally went bye bye. I can put the shifter into 3rd gear, but cannot let the clutch out without all sorts of horrible noises. Fourth gear started grinding immediately as well, so I need to baby it into 4th gear. I took it to Dodge the next day and they ordered a new transmission, but it's on backorder.

There's another local Orange TA waiting on a transmission because of a 5th gear grind. I know of another Gen V transmission being rebuilt due to a 2nd gear synchro failure. Now I read that Tony and Andy had issues shifting hard yesterday at their event. Is this a bigger issue than it seems?

Interesting. The T 6060 has been used for some years, and I don't often read about transmission issues on the forums. Please keep us posted on what you find out.

Interesting. Davids 2010 just had synchros replaced under warranty. They rebuilt his transmission in about a week.

Yes. The other local Orange TA that is waiting on a transmission has been waiting for at least 6 weeks already due to a backorder with no release date. Ironically, when I got my new transmission approved on 11/25, the dealer showed a release date of 12/15. I called Friday for an update and was told the same 12/15 date, but the other local TA was told 12/22 later in the afternoon.

I haven't heard of any issues either, up until I started having issues with mine. That's why I wanted to make this thread to see if there's more.

I'm swapping in a .63 6th gear in my 6060. Stumbled upon interesting read during my research.

This post is 1-2 grind but might also apply to a 3-4 grind.

Has TRC Viper had any transmission issues? Obviously using that as a reference since its driven hard.

Thanks for bringing this light, experienced it twice from 2nd to 3rd, close to if not WOT(with lift). Always attributed it to pilot error, perhaps not so.

Update: I've called the Dodge dealer every Friday for weekly updates. I've had 2 interested buyers in my car, but both have been scared off due to my car waiting on a transmission. I'm signed up for the Ocala 1/2 mile even on 1/23-1/24 and need to give them a definitive answer by 1/9 if I will be participating or not. I was hoping to have my TA sold and pick up another Gen V before the race, but that's not going to happen at this point.

11/25: took my car into Dodge and they ordered a new transmission - given an ETA of 12/15
12/4: called the dealer and was given an ETA of 12/22
12/11: called the dealer and was given an ETA of 1/5
12/14: I contacted SRT on 12/14 and received a case number to expedite a transmission
12/15: I was contacted by Destan, the Viper specialist at SRT - he said he would try to expedite to a better date
12/16: I contacted Destan and explained my story, as well as my knowledge of another Orange TA #31 waiting for a transmission

[Policy Limits]

Destan was my FCA rep when my car wouldn't start up and needed new module/ fobs. He was understanding and did a lot of email follow up. My issue appears to be resolved. Hope yours is soon.

check with RPM Transmission really they do a good job there
i bought from this TR6060 stage 6 cuz my old transmission it has same issue that you have and i have 4th also

so gd luck
