Calvo Motorspots TT gen V 9.62 @150 Stock bottom end record

We are at the quick 30 rental right now and dialing the car in. This car is still stock bottom end with our TT kit, clutch, fuel system and motec. First pass off the trailer on 5lbs of boost car went 10.76@145, few more passes and leaving a little better we did 10.0 & 147. And the record pass a 9.62@ 150!!!! This car has been boosted for a yr and a half now and Since it is the shop car and R&D car we put it threw hell and it seems to like it lol!!

Great stuff! Congrats. The GEN5 platform continues to impress and there is nothing better than asphalt dyno numbers!

This was my first time drag racing in 8 years!!! I'm a little rusty!!! hopefully I can find time to run the car more often. Would like to see a 1.4-1.5 on 18" drag radial.

The first pass was on 5 lbs which is gate. The others we kept turning it up to where we had it at the half mile.

Very cool! Curious to what the stock bottom end can safely hold on the gen 5?

This car is making around 1175-1200 rwhp. I wouldn't get greedy. Finding the limits can cost you a whole lot more, than most V8 engines.

Congrats on the records, Antonio! You built a stout setup, very reliable too.

Awesome to finally see the gen V moving! 9s @ 150 is getting it.. However id expect faster traps if its making 1200 to the wheels!

With motec, they gave me a new firmware revision the other day and somehow it took out wheel speed so I didn't have anti lag, 2 step or traction control. This was old school pedaling!!!

Can't wait to drive this beast!

My guess would be it is making somewhere in the low-mid 900s. My car went 148mph with ~880whp. No chance is it making 1150-1200 and trapping 150mph.

What do you drive? Raceweight? Transmission? Density Altitude of the track day?

A lot of variables. 148 mph with only 880 rwhp is a well sorted car, for sure. The white/blue Paxton Gen 3 coupe that ran yesterday (880-900 rwhp) trapped 143 best. Similar weight, exact same tire Calvo ran, too.

But the turbo car is making full boost way earlier than your car.

My car is a '99 Viper, 100% stock engine, GEN4 TR6060 trans, and the run was in +6000DA on a 26" R888 tire & 3.07 rear. I weighed my car right after the pass (at the track) and it tipped the scales at 3650lbs with me. I would say it is well sorted, but it does not have a particularly well engineered turbo system (standard footwell setup) -- nothing special in the hard parts combination except that it is tuned properly and has a good air/air IC (Nth Moto AEM Infinity Package + FMIC).

Another data point: when my car made ~815whp peak (with cool down), it went ~142 very consistently (over 15 passes in that MPH range). I ran the car at the track, and the next day put it on the dyno (a different one) and made high 700s with no cool down to simulate how it goes down the track.
