Want to buy a Gen V

I want to buy a Gen V and want to modify the car heavily, possibly Twin turbo the car. Is it worth getting the highest trim level or a TA. Need input from Gen V owners on what options they actually use and seem fitting.

Thanks in advance. I am looking to have at least a 160mph trap car.

As far as what trim level is best, it's all subjective. The base SRT is the lightest, but also rides the harshest. My TA rides smoother compared to the '13 base SRT that I test drove. I think the cf aero package makes a big difference in the visual appeal of the car, but once again it's all subjective. The 12 speakers in my TA, but have heard the 18 speakers sound phenomenal.

If going brand-y new and modifying heavily, for performance, the SRT is the way to go.

However, if you're going to modify it anyway, and void some warranty, aaaand like the nicer interior, I would think best bang for the buck is a used GTS. When buying used, they can be had for almost the same money as an SRT, so no brainer! All the pricey upgrades for pennies on the dollar.

im assuming the GTS is the highest trim aside from the ACR. But what is the SRT? arent they all SRT?

The 2013s and 2014s were all SRT Vipers, then went back to being Dodge Vipers in 2015. Now, the way the scale works is:
SRT = base
GT = middle of the road (some luxury and suspension upgrades)
GTS = most bells and whistles, nicest leather

TA = based on SRT with track enhancements (aero, firmer dual mode track oriented suspension and antiroll bars, Corsa tires, bigger steel brakes)
TA 2.0 = same as TA with slightly more Aero
ACR = based on SRT with supreme track enhancements (aero, suspension, tires, wheels brakes)
