Differences between Gen I,II,II,IIII,V engine components

I know there are differences in the generations of Viper engines but are the blocks, heads, and cranks interchangeable? Looking for a motor to build for my Gen 2 but wondered if other generations could be considered?

Maybe I put this in the wrong place, or maybe it was a stupid question(I'm good at that) or maybe too broad of a subject or maybe someone could suggest some reading material that would enlighten me. I guess I can pull out my Mopar performance catalog and try to figure it out

Blocks are different. You can use Gen 3, 4 heads on a Gen 2 block with the appropriate modifications. Check PMs.

The only thing that matters is the amount of information and experience you have. With the right combination, square pegs do fit in round holes.

Still don't have them, I have been in Florida since it was completed a little over two months ago. It was cookie-cutter, no need to dyno it given the time crunch i had to get out of town. Is predecessor made 591 to the wheels w/3.55 gears @ about 85 shop temp/heat soaked, still totally streetable cam options.
