Toys for Tots Event. Nov 21st. Manchester CT

Hello all! Just wanted to invite everyone possible to the Toys For Tots event I'm helping with on November 21st.

This event is sponsored by the New England Mopar Club and for the past several years been a Charger, 300 and Challenger event. Last year I was the only Viper and hope to change that this year! I know a few I speak with outside the forum have stated they are coming and I GREATLY appreciate it!

The event is being held at the Toys R Us in Manchester CT (1460 Pleasant Valley Rd) from 10am til 3. It is a very family friendly event with Santa, coffee for drivers, candy canes for the kids etc. All we ask is that you please bring any value unwrapped boy or girls toy to donate.

We have also opened the event to select non-Dodge cars so some friends with exotics and some hypercar can also attend. If you have a friend with a Ferrari, Lambo, etc, please bring them along!

I will put a follow up post ASAP as to where we will meet to caravan into the event. I know the roar of Viper V10s will make quite an entrance!

THANK YOU , THANK YOU , THANK YOU one and all! I got a text last night from a friend about a young autistic child who is coming to the event. They said he's been struggling with some issues but that he has always wanted to see a Viper. When his parents, and grandparents found out we were coming, they told him if he was able to do some things better he could see one.

I spoke with a friend of the family last night and they were really excited when I told him at least 5 Vipers (seems more like 8-9) were coming and that I was MORE then happy to have him sit in the car, rev the motor, take whatever pics they wanted. They were shocked as any time they have taken him to most car shows you cant breath on a car let alone sit in one. I know this is a universal among many here as well. It's a car, not a Picasso...

Sometimes you just don't know what you are doing for someone else simply by showing up. So again, thanks Viper Nation, as always, you all kick A$$!

I stopped by Costco last night and picked up all of the Viper models/RC Vipers they had.

Guys this is shaping up to be AWESOME! I heard from our New England VOA friends that there maybe another few Vipers and some other exotics coming down to meet and cruise in with us.. probably another 5 cars :-)

I have zero words, and that's not easy for me lol! The turnout from this club was AMAZING! I didn't have time to get a total count of Vipers but I think we were around 13.

To EVERYONE, thank you!!!! I couldn't stay til the end at 3 but when I left at 2, we were up to 11 FULL carts of toys and over $600 in cash donations that will be used at the end of the day to buy more toys!

The host club had nothing but incredible things to say about the club and all the cars. The friends who also brought the exotics also came through please pass along my thanks!

I will post pics when I get to a computer.

Edit: Final tally, 16 FULL carts of toys and $1200 in cash donations!!!!

Wow Josh - 16 Carts and $1200 is huge! Thanks for giving us the heads up to get involved, that was a lot of fun and great way to enjoy some late season driving weather!
