    New Owner of a 1996 B/W GTS

    Hello All,

Recently purchased a stock 1996 Viper GTS. Super excited about being "back" in a Viper (learned to drive a stick on a 94 Black RT/10 19 years ago!).

Made the purchase through Viper Exchange/BJ Motors and could not have been happier with the buying experience. Highly recommend to those in the midst of their search.

Looking forward to being part of the Viper community. Only "modification" I have done thus far is hard wiring a Battery Tender Plus under the hood. I am finding that the Battery Tender Plus box is running a little warm. Is this normal?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Welcome, not sure about the battery tender; someone will chime in. Love the 96 GTS. Iconic poster car.....enjoy!

Congrats! I have the same car...best one ever made (IMHO).

Good choice. I have the regular battery tender, and it gets "warm", but not hot. In for pics!

Welcome. Rumor has it that the B&W's are faster. Must be the stripes.

Thanks all. It was running warm (could still handle it if needed) while the red light was on. But when it switched to green it cooled down and was normal. So I think this is all part of the normal operation now.
