I look at that $5,000 as that's half of what the Arrow H/C package is for the GenV, from VE.

Compared to you Steverino, I am a simple pauper. You have the new ACR, I just have an old hand me down. Hope to get out to NOLA though, to see if I can keep up with you and your new beast. Are you as fast as Steve ACR from Connecticut???

    Tentative Plan Taking shape:

by the end of the first day (Sunday) we get to Harrisonburg VA area- that's 571 miles for the New England Group - 350 miles from NYC. We can collect NY/CT, NE, NJ, PA, WV all there the first night.

by the end of the second day - (Monday) we get to Huntsville AL - that's 567 miles. My goal would be to get there by 630pm so that we can have dinner in Decatur Alabama at an UNREAL BBQ place. That night we meet up with the Ohio region and probably other midwest regions too.

then third day (Tuesday) Huntsville to NoLA is 442 miles.

yeah.. Google Maps says 1360 miles from Wappingers Falls and 20hours 19minutes. I'm expecting 18.5 hours from NYC. A lot of the middle of the trip is in VA where you can't go too nuts, including one where you can't run a radar detector (WTF)

taking 3 days to do it I'm thinking 5 hours day 1. 8 hours day 2. 5.5 hours day 3.
If you want to do a marathon you could get from NY to Huntsville Alabama in one day and caravan with the group from there to NoLa

So is the plan to arrive at the Hyatt for check in on Tuesday evening? I booked my reservations arriving on Wednesday, May 11th.

If so, do we still get the special parking for Tuesday night?

This is going to be a great, long vacation. Hopefully, my company doesn't send a search party for me.

Yeah - if you're driving both ways you probably don't want to make it a 3 day journey. We get a larger group collected by making it 3, and nobody needs to do much more than 8 hours in the car in one day. Sleepy Viper Driving is no fun if you can avoid it

good Q - pretty sure the parking situation is setup for the whole week, but I'll double-check that

The parking package through the VOA only covers Wed-Sun. Tuesday night parking is an extra cost at the regular rate for that garage they have across the street. I was asking about it last week in the NVE2 section of the forums because I missed the parking package when I registered.

If parking and hotel are covered from Wednesday to Sunday and the first event is Wednesday night (not sure what time?), we could leave on Monday and arrive in NOLA on Wednesday. Just leave a short leg for Wednesday.
