Do it. Before I was eye level with the top 20% of the windshield.

After, I'm staring out the middle of the windshield.

Also removed the dead pedal and its mount.

I'm 6'4" and 275. Enough room now to stretch my leg straight.

I like it for track days but for daily driving it's useless, for me.

On mine, I removed the slotted mounting bracket and bolted the pedal back in the rearmost hole, about 1" further than before.
Now it's comfortable to rest my foot.

Oh another thing, have someone with girl arms or a small child to tighten the rear seat mounting nuts after the seat is in place.

This thread was just what I needed to read about seat fitment... I was a little concerned before even going to look at Vipers that it would be a struggle to fit comfortably in one. Glad to know that some similar-sized folks fit without an issue, and that there is even a lowering kit to make it more comforting!

I found out about this a few weeks ago, and man does it ever help. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes. I'm 6 feet and 210 lbs and I fit in the Viper without any trouble at all. The GTS seats don't "pinch" on my back etc., and now with the improved driving position, it is actually pretty comfortable. The dead pedal feels a bit like you are stepping on a spike, but that's the character of the car. The Viper doesn't give a s@#t, and I kinda like that..........

Hahaha, ya, that's the only point missing in the very detailed instructions......

    My reinstall went like this:

Phones skinny friend; "Would you consider your hands medium or large?"
Skinny Friend; "Medium to small maybe?"
Me; "Perfect, come straight to my place after work!"

If I wedged my forearm behind the seat to the point I couldn't open or close my hand, I could barely touch the top of the stud. Later, my skinny buddy shows up, leans in, uses two arms in the spot I couldn't get one of mine into, and chats at me while he easily reinstalls both of my rear seat nuts.....
