This is going to be fun!

As Brian stated in an earlier post, "Your Candlelight tickets can be upgraded to a full day pass at the gate for only $16.05." Brian currently has the Candlelight tickets in his possession.

Nina and I will be arriving on Friday (with some tickets) so we can spend all day Saturday at Biltmore. Who else is planning on upgrading their Candlelight tickets to a full-day pass? Thanks!

I'm not taking the Viper but a few of us are getting together for the ride over. We plan on leaving Fuquay Varina around 9:00 am. Anyone want to join us or meet up along the way?

Hey, if I am reading Biltmore's web site properly, if you purchase the candlelight tickets you can come back on the following day. Anyone else seeing it this way? or Is it still necessary to purchase the upgrade. After all I'll be driving all day to get there.

Okay folks, as Craig announced, if you plan to upgrade your Candlelight Tour tickets to a full day pass, you will need your tickets prior to dinner so you can tour the estate during the day. Therefore, if you plan to upgrade your tickets so you can tour the mansion during the day, please post up or reply to the e-mail we sent earlier so we can make meeting arrangements with you on Friday night or Saturday morning. The price to upgrade your tickets is $16.05/ea.

We have a couple members that joined our region after the registration deadline and are interested in attending the event. Unfortunately, we have sold out our time slot to tour the mansion. However, if anyone decides they are unable to attend, please post up let us know. Since we have some new members on the "waiting list", we can likely provide you a full refund of your registration.

Some have asked if they should take their Vipers. Most members typically do not take their Vipers to our Holiday Party given the potential of inclement weather this time of the year....especially in the mountains. However, you are welcome to bring your Viper. There is covered parking at the hotel. However, we have not arranged private parking for the cars at any of the venues.

Going to be BIG, going to be FUN! Look forward to seeing everyone!

    Craig,
Let me know when I can pick up the day passes?

    Mike,
We plan to leave early and would be open to driving down in a group.

I can pick up some day passes for the Fuquay group, let me know.

As a reminder, Nina and I will be in Asheville on Friday and will have tickets to distribute. If you are arriving Saturday, the tickets can be picked up at the front desk at the Holiday Inn. There will be an envelop for each person that has paid that will contain a dinner ticket and an admission ticket for the evening for each participant. Thanks and we're looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

    Marko,
We are leaving Fuquay at 8:30 and will be in the 540 / 40 area by 9:00. We can meet there or down the road. We will have radios on channel 10. Me, Al and maybe Dugan and Nina so far. See you soon.

I'll have your tickets (everyone's actually) at the desk at the Holiday Inn. Your names will be on the envelope with the dining ticket and the evening entrance ticket. The Candlelight Christmas Evening ticket will give you entry to the grounds at Biltmore starting at 4:30 on Saturday, but it doesn't include access to the Biltmore House itself.

You can upgrade the ticket in person on Saturday at the Reception and Ticketing Sales Center (first building you encounter after passing through the manned Guard House...if in doubt, just ask the guard) for $16.05 a person.

Heads up folks! Just saw this on the Biltmore site as we will be there during a Reservation Days period, so you'll need to call and make reservations for touring the house if you want to do so during Saturday (this is separate from our evening Christmas tour). The following is from the Biltmore website:

    Biltmore House Reservation Days

Reservations are required for your self-guided visit of Biltmore House on these high volume days. We recommend you reserve your entry time online or over the phone (800-411-3812) since these days can sell out. If you arrive without a reservation, please proceed to Guest Services outside of Biltmore House after scanning your ticket(s) to receive a reservation time.

Your reservation time is for entering Biltmore House. Your admission gives you access to the rest of the estate during normal hours of operation. Arrive early and enjoy everything Biltmore has to offer!

Me again -- There are a variety of tours that can be booked as well, and this page will give more information about the times and cost associated with the specialty tours:
    http://www.biltmore.com/visit/things-to-do/tours

The weather looks perfect too, so call ahead to book your tours if desired.

One more bit of information -- if you want to add a specialty tour (Rooftop, Behind the Scenes, etc), you need to call 800-411-3812 and talk with a ticket agent ASAP. They will need the group number KENY1043164 and let them know that Brian Kennedy is the contact person, and then you can book a tour for Saturday or Sunday. For instance, the Rooftop tour costs $17 + tax per person, but this will get you access to the Biltmore House during the day at no additional charge (otherwise, it will cost you $16.05 per person to get into the Biltmore House during the day). There are limited slots open, so don't hesitate if you want to take an extra tour.

Bill and I had a wonderful time. Dinner was delicious and Biltmore is impressive. It's always great spending time with our Viper family. I also want to say thank you for the lovely Viper necklace, I'll enjoy wearing it to future events.

Below are web friendly versions of the dinner photos. If at any time you need a full size version for printing purposes, please don't hesitate to send me a PM and I'll upload the larger version to the Photobucket website.

The PictureLady has done it again! Thanks, Elaine. Too bad the photocops would have seized your camera before entering the Big House for the Christmas Candlelight Tour... Marcia and I had a wonderful time meeting and partying with all our Viper friends at such a fabulous venue. And a special thanks to our Carolinas Viper Club leadership for planning this great finale to a wonderful year of events!!!
