Zipline, cruise and lunch

I wanted to see if anyone is up for doing a zipline up in Ocala/Gainesville area on November 7th. I figure we can meet at the zipline, then cruise together to a local spot for lunch and some pictures at both places. I've talked to a few and everyone so far seems to be interested so lets see how many Vipers we can bring to the party. This is close to JAX area so you guys need to come down. The website is www.zipthecanyons.com and we will figure out a great place to eat afterwards. I think the zip takes about 2 hours or so. I will work on a group rate once we know how big a crowd we have.

Another update for the list, looking like a good crowd. Please make sure you check out the website for the rules for the zipline. I know they require closed toed shoes and I'm sure there are a few other things to know before we all show up. I'm going to call them today and start working on a discount for us. I was thinking we start around 10 am if that works for them and then lunch afterwards at some local Ocala restaurant. Looking forward to this, should be great fun!

I was asked if maybe we should do an early lunch first ( 11-11:30 ) since depending on the weather we might smell bad ( not all of us of course ) after the zipline. I think that's a great plan, if ok with all I will set it up that way. Let me know your thoughts. David

I spoke to Zip the Canyons people and the group rate is $85 per person vs $96 so it saves you $11 per person. Only problem is it needs to be paid for with a single card, saves them transaction fees they say. I have no problem paying for everyone in advance as long as you confirm to me your going. You can pay me back when we meet at lunch. They can take up to 10 people in each group and it's no problem to break us into 2 equal groups and we would start about 20 minutes apart. Lets try and firm up the exact count next week and I will get the dates and time set up. Lets shoot for lunch at 11/11:15 so we can all eat and not be rushed. I was thinking 1st group for zipline at 1:00 and next at 1:20, you guys think it over and let me know how this works for you. David

Here is updated list, looks like a good size group. We currently have 14 for sure and maybe 16 or more. Plan is to eat lunch first, then zipline and following that Peter has a short cruise planned out. We will be eating at Harrys which is downdown Ocala.
