    SW Ohio service

Looking at getting a viper after having a lot of corvettes over the last 20 years. I was wondering about servicing the car when and if it would need it though. Any one that has a viper in the Dayton/Cincinnati area, can they recommend somewhere to go for service or to avoid at all costs. Thanks, Mark

I do all of mine on my own in my garage. I don't know of any options for a competent Viper tech short of driving to Indy...I think there might be a good tech in the Columbus area too, but I have no intent to find out unless I really get in a pickle.

If its any helps the viper tech I have used for both my Gen 2 and now my gen V for the past 10 years is located in Bulter Pa. I have complete faith and trust in him. I would send anyone to him for anything Viper.

At the present time, there are not that many Viper Tech around who have a thorough knowledge of the older and the new Vipers. Many have moved on to their own shops or other makes. So the answer to your inquiry may depend on the age of the Viper as well as your location.

Our Region works hard at matching the Viper's needs with the available talent in Indiana and Kentucky. Said talent is out there...but you may need a little help in finding it initially.

Steve-Indy is a great resource...he's helped me out in the past when I needed a Viper tech. It did require a drive to Indy, but it was well worth it...he's a class act for sure. He even called later to make sure I made it home okay.

I'm in the Centerville area if you ever want to stop by and talk Vipers.

Near Mason, Ohio, is a place called Kings CJD in the KINGS AUTO MALL area, and was talking to service advisor on Thursday, they still have a viper tech and he has all the tools, etc...to work on a viper....they used to have a new viper around on the floor BUT now they have a good inventory of the Challengers...I have NEVER personally used him but I think it is good to know...my $.02

Again I appreciate all the info. Steve M, I'd love to talk sometime. I'm out just west of Miamisburg. When I buy I will almost certainly order one from ViperExchange and have them install their Stage 2 kit before I even pick it up. I like horsepower and the sound of a nice camshaft.
