Have you ever looked at a Gen IV and Gen V side by side? Gen IV is small in comparison, Gen V just looks so muscular and than throw on exteme aero

Extreme is better! On another note I just parked my 2015 Z28 in the garage next to my TA. Z28 makes the Viper look so small. Barely fits in my garage. Love driving it though. LS7 is such a great engine when it's not dropping valves.

I hear ya. I noticed that as well at the last track day. Everyone wants to say the viper looks so big because of its front end. However in person, it looks tiny compared to the pony cars etc. My friends Ferrari 612 looks huge next to my viper.

I've considered going the Z/28 route. Local dealer still has a black one sitting there. Didn't like the 5th gen at first, but it has really grown on me and the LS7 is tempting. Enjoyed my father's ZL-1 before he traded it.

Do it you won't regret it! There's some cheap ones on ebay right now. Can't beat 0% financing.

I wouldn't worry about the newer LS7s dropping valves. My Z06 is a 2010 that year GM increased the oil capacity on the dry sump to 10 quarts, and I heard that the head issues were fixed. Had to do with the angle of the valves. I've tracked my Z over 20 times . It's reliable as hell. Matter of fact I even brought to Abel Chevrolet. Talked to Richie and also had them check the valves out. Do the " wiggle test". All the valves were tight and within spec.

Darius, have you tracked the Z/28 yet? I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I had a track Camaro that was only 1 second slower per lap at Buttonwillow than my Viper. It was a full build, faster than a Z/28 with its aero, coil overs and 514 RWHP. The Camaro seems to defy physics- it moves despite its portly weight. It's no Viper but man I miss it.
