    GEN II Fair Price

What would be a fair price for a 2002 GTS, Red/Silver Stripes, 51+K miles?

    No issues ...

Needs nothings ... clutch, tires , brakes all good ...

    Looks and Runs Great ...

100% bone Stock except for addition of Cruise Control ...

    Thankx!

50k miles hurt the value of the car and red is the most common color for gen2 so I would say mid 30

    I'd say for a quick sale, 42k.

I just paid 45.5 for a 2002 FE, 27k miles. Has Forgeline wheels with new tires, SRT-10 brakes, Penske coilovers, K&N/smooth tubes, roller rockers, headers/exhaust. Interior is perfect. Some would say 45.5 is too much but it was exactly the car I wanted.

That sounds like a good deal to me, congrats!

Great deal factoring the aftermarket additions. That would have been a mid-high 30's car without....

Any pics of the car? Keep us posted on what you do.

TxA&M got one heck of a deal.

Clean un molested GEN II's are becoming harder and harder to find these days.
A friend of mine was trying to find one. After realizing he's not shopping for a corvette where plenty are available, He just gave up and jumped back over the femce to GM. Now he's kicking and screaming wishing he had more patience and willing to pay the premium for a clean Gen II. Lol.

There are plenty of clean Gen2 cars out there. It comes down to looking, and then ultimately the biggest issue people seem to have is price. They say they want a clean, stock Gen2 and when find it, they complain they are 10k more then another one that has some issues or a story. It's like paint job, good isn't cheap and cheap isn't good. If you are comfortable with the car and you feel it's what you are willing to pay, who cares what someone here paid for their car 2 years ago (not speaking of anyone who has posted here in this thread).

If the car is 40k and worth it, then is 40k. Also, soooo many people get excited to but a "clean" Gen whatever with no miles only to find out they have to spend thousands of dollars to fix bad seals, dried out tires, weatherstripping etc. Cars were meant to be driven not sit gathering dust under a cover in a garage. Sometimes the car which has not been driven has never shaken out all the gremlins and you get to be the one to discover them. I'd rather drive a car where I know whatever issues have started to show and I can anticipate it.

Even with my current Viper, there was a shake out of some small issues which needed to be addressed. the car was EXTREMELY well built and documented but the issues that developed were from a short ownership by someone between myself and the builder of the car. The car was only in the other owners hand for about 9 months. It still showed.

Best of luck, when you find the right one, you will know it! This is the greatest car I have ever owned, and I have owned a good deal of crazy modified cars!

Paid 43K for my 02 GTS graphite/silver with 6901 on odometer completely stock. Many would say it was overpriced, however this was exactly what i was searching for

I would say 38k due to the miles.
