Awesome RT 10... They are an unbelievable car... I just took my RT 10 to South Beach and OMG what an unbelievable experience it was.. It seriously I got more attention than the Lamborghini and Ferrari's that were there... For some reason there are a lot of people that dislike the roaster But there are so many more people taking pictures and trying to get a better view of the car... Enjoy it my friends

I love the Gen I's. A true a passion car; no a/c, no door handles, no roof, etc....just raw, bold, and beautiful. Congrats!

The Gen I still captures me the way it did when it debuted.

And if I could, I would probably add a Gen I to the stable before a Gen V even. I also would want the original 3 spoke wheels. I made a coffee table out of one that was damaged and couldn't be used safely anymore. I wonder what the cost would be to have the three spokes made in 19/18 or 20/19? That way you could keep the look of the original 3 spokes but with updates sizes. Probably painfully expensive though.

Congratulations on your purchase. It only gets better, really. As you meet other people with the same sickness it will only become more and more fun. And it really is a great time to go cruising with a bunch of other Vipers and share that experience with equally passionate people. Keep it nice but don't be afraid to drive it. These cars like miles. It doesn't hurt them to let them stretch their legs a bit. And it's good for the soul.

Thanks for the welcome. Yes I do have the 3 spoke. However they were chromed by the 1st owner (I am the 2nd). I am not a fan of chrome so I would prefer to return them to paint.

YoU will find people here who are walking encyclopedias of these cars, which is so incredibly helpful. We really have the greatest car club on the planet. And I say on the planet cause I can't prove what other car clubs there are throughout the universe but even so, if we aren't the greatest in the universe I am sure we qualify for top 3 or some kind of honorable mention. But it's an honor just to be nominated for best car club in the universe.

Really, welcome and enjoy and hopefully you discover what an amazing resource people are here.

Welcome Peter! The NY/CT chapter is very active. Ed (SlateEd) is our Regional President and is the Man! We have some awesome events coming up.

Oct 3rd - NYS Fall Foliage Cruise - Make sure you have good tires if you come to this one
Oct 17th - Tech Session at Tator's Garage - It's absolutely amazing to see this place in person
Oct 25 - CT Fall Foliage Cruise

Check out the NY/CT forum section for more details.

Oh and JonB is the Parts Man! If you need fresh tires (among any other Viper parts), he's the man!

I have this quote I like to say..."The Year Matters!" It's because of the little differences that exist between years even though they are the same Gen. Lucky for us, Jon knows those little idiosyncrasies well which helps a lot. But as I always say, "The Year Matters!" Im proud of myself for coming up with that quote ; )

For those that don't know or don't get my humor, that's Jon B's quote. He says it a lot to remind people that just because they are same Gen does not mean that they are exactly the same and there can be some differences that really should be respected and not overlooked. Jon does tend to know those quite well which you will find helpful when buying parts.

Again, welcome and good luck with the wheel project.

BTW, just noticed. I am not a dealer or a flipper. I just used the dealer's photo of the car as I only have photos of it in my garage.
