What regions are moving to VOA?

Is there anyway to know what regions are leaving the VCA, and moving to the VOA? I've decided not to renew my membership of over 15 years with the VCA, and not sure what to do since I believe the VA/MD region is staying with the VCA.

Yeah us VA/MD guys are stuck in the cross fire. Don't have the time to help setup a region, but will gladly join.

By joining the national VOA, you also get assigned a local region of your choosing, to enhance your ownership experience. Regions typically arrange drives, social events, track days, tech sessions, and manufacturer events - so you can enjoy your car more. Each region is its own corporate entity, but affiliated with the national group, VOA. The following regions are already a part of the VOA, and there are more to come. Feel free to reach out to the officers of any of the regions if you have any specific questions for them.

I thought one of the things we all agreed on during our "back room, super-secret" meetings we had when forming the VOA was that there would no yellow owners allowed? Especially yellow owners with no A/C and who's heads stick out above the windshield when driving!
So what the hell ^^^^^^^^^HE^^^^^^^^^ doing here!?!

After my 2010 road trip to ATL I had the AC fixed so I'm allowed in now

However, wondering how you got in since you gave some lame excuse for missing the Tail of the Dragon trip this past summer :-P

Have communicated with Tateshi ( in Japan ) and he says they are moving over to the VOA , but notice they have no listing. They liked the idea that it is the Viper Owner's Association , so
the name includes all owner's Worldwide.

Dammit! You got me on a technicality!
I can't even remember why I didn't make the Tail trip last year, but I'm assuming it's because I was on a race track somewhere.

There's a vote on the By-Laws tonight by all the directors and region presidents. Took a while since there was input from dozens, which required many revisions, but Janni got it all together.

    Booyah! Yellow strikes again!

I believe what you meant to say among all those words was "I screwed up in 2013 and will never miss another ToD event ever again and will buy drinks at Margaritaville next year"

You also missed the comical sunburn I got from breaking out of fish tank mode that Friday due to the nice weather. Is it late May yet??

It looks like I should be able to make it for 2014.
I'm at CMP on May 17-18 and Road Atlanta on June 13-15, so unless I have some serious issues to address on the race car in between the two, I'm good.

Great information, Thanks! I'm signing up today, and would like to be a part of the Central FL region. I have a home near Sarasota, and currently the FE is down there, so I look forward to getting together with fellow owners when I get down there. Although I don't spend a lot of time down there now, about 50-60 days a year, in the next couple of years and as I move toward retirement I want to get to that magic 181 per year so I can become a FL resident.

Yes, I have a VOI9 car. Mine is #75. I followed the link but it took me to a thread telling me about the registry, but I don't know how to get to the registry itself. Do you just want me to PM you my information?
    Thanks,
    Gus

Yep, Japan also came aboard. Bill, they do have a zone on the forums as well as a spot on the registration form. Let me know what you see missing.

    And the map looks impressive.

And by the way - those regions that are listed are indeed signed up regions with VOA (except for the 2 with asterisks). It can be frustrating when we hear misdirection from that other club that they're "talking to presidents and they aren't sure they're going VOA". Or that they represent those regions still a part of the old club. The list you see here are regions that have voted, communicated, and signed up with VOA as a region of the new club.

Our approach was not compete on a member level (to seek individual members) nor to effect regions in a negative way by competing within a region. So instead, we left it up to the region to decide as a whole, this way they stay together regardless of what side they chose. It was done that way because that's what's best for members and contributed to little disruption.

Regions and members were simply offered a choice. And I will say that their actions spoke louder than any negative words still being uttered by the old club. The map speaks volumes.

That thread is a starting points of sorts. I've been working on collecting info on the cars and started that thread to provide some history on the cars and for people to discuss them. Maybe one day more of a website can be put together.
