The heads....anyone have any experience using the Jessel 1.85 rockers in lieu of the stocker 1.7s....just wondering if the Jessels are worth the investment or what are the 2nd order effects (piston-valve clearance, valve covers still fit, etcetera)....

There was not a lot of clearance before the valves and Cam were changed.

The PCM will be back from Arrow tomorrow and ready to fire up. We got all of the lines heat wrapped and protected this morning before dropping the motor back in. Right now all of the fluids are done and ready to go. We'll leave the hood off until after the initial drive (just easier to see what's going on with the hood off).

Viper Exchange has been impressive with the install. It shows how much development time they have had with these systems. They know all the little install tricks you may not get elsewhere. Very impressed that we are waiting more on overnight mail service than on a complete engine removal and reinstall.

Between, Dicks white gen V Mule that we own at Arrow, Ralph's car, My car, and Ben's car we have put a considerable amount of miles on these packages and installs. We are always improving and trying new things to help our customers. Definitely enjoying my job.

Kurt we should get it fired up today and get our first drive done.

I sent Kurt an idle video and a driving video. We do very similar heat wrapping to what the other thread has. Ralph, Ben, Me, and, Dick have not had any heat related issues on the passenger side so other than O2's on that side we don't do much as we have tracked the cars and put a lot of miles on them and have not seen any issues. We can always do extra at the customers request but haven't seen the need based on all of our combined testing.

The heads and cam sound really good on the videos. I pick her up tomorrow for a long spirited drive home. Can't wait to feel the new ponies and hear how she sings. If it wasn't for that little 'work' thing I would have been there today! Fantastic job and turn around time from all at Viper Exchange!

    Sounds Great Kurt, Congrats!

Andy, any plans for this to be available for a Gen III (eventually)?

That's a great question !!! The number of Gen 3's out there would help recoup the R&D costs.

Hey Allan, there are quite a few options out there currently for the gen 3 market from mild to wild in terms of streetability. I guess if there was enough demand for an OEM style of product like this I don't see how they would be apposed to it. It would require the same piston swap though that Arrow recommends for the Gen IV cars as well.
