    Gen V extended warranty

You get 1 year or 12k miles before you need to commit to one. I am considering getting one and curious what deals owners have been able to negotiate. Any tips/advice for negotiations?

I am talking about extended warranty.

Standard warranty is 3 yr/36,000 mi basic, 5 yr/100,000 mi powertrain

I did it just because I figured it was worth having the extra time.

2500-3k for the prem extended warranty.

    How long is the extension?

I did as well, well worth the peace of mind. Warranty on my Dart is up in January, and thinking about getting gone for that as well.

The Viper extended warranty cost could easily pay for itself, should you have a major issue. Shit happens.

You have to buy it before your initial is over, or is Chrysler oddly different?

Interesting using that sites calculator outside the 1y/12k window it is $150 more for a plan.

I think if you buy it before 1 year / 12k miles it's a bit cheaper, but you can buy them up to 4 years / 48k miles. At least that's the way it was the last time I checked, someone else may be able to confirm.

The cheapest I found when shopping for our Jeep/MOPAR Warranty was clay@zellermotors.com (Clay Robbins), he beat everybody by a good bit (website posted above included).

I'll check him out as well...thanks!

Thanks for the POC. As you stated Clay was the cheapest by a long shot!

Also, I am fairly certain our forum dealers would be quite competitive on those prices as well

There is a surcharge if your extended warranty is purchased after the 1st year/12,000 miles, so the incentive is to do it within the first year, or pay more. You have until the end of your factory warranty (3yr/36,000 miles) to purchase a Mopar extended warranty, otherwise you will have to go 3rd party. I purchased my extended warranty from Zeigler 2 weeks ago, and got the 7yr/100k warranty for $3190, with a $100 deductible.

I got the Chrysler warranty that extended my coverage to 2020 and 60kmiles bumper to bumper. I think it was like $2200. Well worth it IMO.

I'll never be able to hit the miles but having the time on my side is a great plus.

Zeller Motors quoted $1490 7 year/60k miles. SRT Quoted $2700 for same...

Has anyone tried any of the sponsors here on our site for prices and does the coverage start after the basic 3 year/36K miles. If so, then is the 7 year warranty actually only a 4 year/48 month warranty?

I have not heard about any of the sponsors. I assume that if they can beat the listed deal they will chime in.

and you are correct....the deal I mentioned adds 4 years and 24,000 miles to your existing warranty.

Just purchased 7 yr/60k Maxcare for my 2014 Viper with $100 deductible for $1640 from Clay Robinson at Zeller Motors. If inservice date of your Viper is less than than one year, then it is $1490. Great price and very easy transaction. Highly recommended if anyone is looking into extended warranty.
