odd shape on hood on a foggy night

Hi, I drove my car one afternoon and about 9 hours later when I finished work, I came out and it was foggy. I saw this on my car and it was the one/only time I have ever seen this. Is this normal, and I know it is from the hood liner, but any reason why this happens? I know it isn't a big deal, but interesting.

Heat pad underneath insulating the metal so water condenses at a different rate on the outside

Yep, I recall a thread on the other forums where everyone was posting pictures of theirs. Definitely cool!

How come this doesn't happen on any of my other vehicles? And strange you can see the shape of the snake and not just the shape of the hood liner...considering it is all hood liner there

Isn't the hood liner all the same distance from the hood EXCEPT where the snake logo is? Also, that's probably where the heat change is the slowest as it is closest to the hood and doesnt have a lot of other places to go. So the slow cooling of that area probably helps the condensation form.

I think it's cool. Never happened to me out here in Arizona but used to see it posted in here and I thought it was so cool, wish my Gen II had done this trick for me.
