I was there yesterday with these guys yesterday. The owner of the yellow viper is new to drag racing. Wayne from xtreme supercars was there also and raced the yellow viper too.

Good times. Please tell Dick to raise that limiter. Lol.. I drove both cars with the arrow tune and I even hit the limiter . I'm use to mine.

6600 isn't high enough? Dick doesn't like spinning the factory valve train higher than that for longevity. You've already made peak numbers by that point as well so not sure it would make much of a difference.

I have mine set at 6800. I try and shift around 6600. When I tried that in Waynes car, I hit the limiter. Felt weird to me like it was hitting the limiter for no reason.

The Black car even with all the added aero looks like it's still a little quicker. Paul the Arrow PCM's rev limiter it at either 6600 or 6700 I believe so if you were shifting right on it then there's the issue.

It does appear to be a little quicker, but I'd expect it to be much more given the headers - I wouldn't think the stuff slapped on the front end could make that much of a difference.

Yellow car is fast because of the driver

My car only picked up a peak of 10whp and 1 wtq with the addition of American Racing headers(high flow cats, stock exhaust). This is with the Arrow PCM already in the mix. There doesn't appear to be a lot to gain in exhaust work IMO.

Well that is definitely good to know. Sounds like the stock manifolds are not too shabby. Would like to hear some more dyno examples of this though.

its blower time! 800 on pump is where its at.

the driver of the black viper can't drive... when you hit the rev limiter , you essencially lose 3-5 mph per shift. whiche equates to 56.742 hp loss on that particular shift. Under my formula its .3774 secs in the 1/4. that would explain the issue with the black viper driver.

My conclusion after seeing this video, and one from inside the black car where you can see the driver shifts fast, but does not power shift, is that PAUL can Powershift as good as anybody out there, and as proven in this video it appears to make a HUGE difference in acceleration on these cars.
