September 6 – Gathering of the Marques, Viper Exhibition – Lime Rock Park

    Attn: Viper enthusiasts

You are invited to bring your car to “A Gathering of Vipers”
On Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn.
The Viper Club NY/CT and Lime Rock Park are organizing a Viper-only get-together at the famed 1.5 mile road racing circuit, during the Sunday in the Park Concours & Gathering of the Marques enthusiast meet, in a repeat of last year’s fun.
All Viper owners are invited to bring your vehicles to your cars to a Viper gathering located in “Big Bend,” a.k.a. Turn 1 of Lime Rock’s road course.

The Viper Gathering is being held as a part of the much larger Sunday in the Park event, which features 250 stunning examples of automotive history on the Sam Posey Straight in the Concours, and an additional 700-plus cars in the giant enthusiast meet called Gathering of the Marques, which stretches around and fills the entire 1.5 mile race track. The Honored Guests for 2015 are Jochen Mass and Sir Stirling Moss. Honored Collector Jim Taylor has a fantastic collection of cars that feature lots of patina and history, and Honored Motorcycle Collector Team Obsolete: The Rob Iannucci Collection will bring some of Rob’s favorite picks from one of the best vintage race bike collections in the world. Plus, there will be a special feature on Mercedes-Benz racing history, with four confirmed vehicles plus more in the works of the finest examples of Mercedes-Benz racing history in the world to be on display.

The cost is $25 per person if you purchase your ticket by August 28, which allows you to park your Viper in the display and gives you admission to walk through the entire Sunday in the Park event. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling Ryan McIntosh at Lime Rock Park at 1 (860) 435-5000, ext. 109 – they will have a registration process specifically for this special display. Want to come for a day of vintage car racing, too? There is an American Muscle Car Corral on Monday, September 7th. Tickets for that day are $35 per person in advance, plus the $15 car corral pass.

Space is limited, so don’t hesitate to get your name on the list and get your tickets.
    See you there!

    To purchase Viper Gathering tickets:
    Call 1 (860) 435-5000, ext. 109 to reach Ryan McIntosh by Friday, August 28 at 5 p.m.

Steve - congrats on the sale - I will hopefully be there too, although also without my own car... working on a substitute :-)

Let's see some more sign ups! This is an incredible gathering!!

Behold - the MAP of how crazy this show really is! We will be parked near the chicane before the uphill this year, also close to vending, restrooms, and the shuttle apparently.

SUNDAY IN THE PARK 2015 MAP - Small.jpg

There's still time to join us for this Sunday - advance ticket sales are closed but there is no limit to tickets at the gate (and I heard if we bring enough Vipers they'll start throwing Audis out to make room for us....)

You can still buy online, but you can also save yourself the 'processing fee' by just purchasing at the event. Post up here if you are planning on it so we can start to get a good count!

hope to see many of you Sunday!

Should be an amazing day. If you have not been to this event its insane. They must have 50 classic cars worth over $1,000,000 each and probably another 500+ cars

Mercedes has there Grand prix winning race car probably worth in the 8 digits

Sterling Moss will be there to sign autographs

Its an amazing event and your car will be in it

As far as I know they will not be bringing it... Mercedes has 'center stage' this year I believe. Having said that, there are tons of other rare race cars to drool on... err... near

Thanks Ed! Definitely a great event with so many incredible cars; it was even mentioned during the F1 practice session today! Had a great time last year; would love to make it again this year, but don't think I'll be able to make it.
