Mopars at the Beach - Great Time!

Janelle and I returned home yesterday. What a great time once again! The weather was outstanding and the beach was beautiful.

Mike, the hotel was perfect with reserved, covered, and secured parking for our Vipers. Patrick & Brittany did a fabulous job planning the restaurants. We were able to sit outside at both locations and enjoy live music, water views, a nice breeze....wow! The club surprised everyone and picked up the tab for dinner on Saturday night. I counted and there were better than 20 Vipers at the car show!!! In fact, Hap pointed out to me that we made the front cover of Mopar week's Facebook page! We all arrived at the same time and a recall one of the workers saying "Now this is a car show!". Check it out:

It was great to meet new members Scott and Mazi in their beautiful 08 black/silver coupe. It was also great to meet Scott from Mt. Pleasant, SC in his new 13 black GTS. This was my first time meeting Dave's son, Jason...so much fun to be around as well. It was also great to finally meet Angel's family after hearing so much about them....and I'm thankful Rich was able to get his car in the garage.

Brittany and I had an awesome time as well! This trip lets us hook up with our Viper friends and enjoy a mini vacation at the beach all at the same time, so it doesn't get much better than that. Brittany deserves the credit for the restaurants, she did most of the legwork by making the phone calls and arrangements; we're glad things turned out the way they did, especially at Sara Js on Saturday night.

I think it's awesome that our members sometimes bring other members of their family along to be part of our VOA family!

We couldn't have asked for better weather - not a drop of rain all weekend, sunny skies with no clouds! The hotel has been very accommodating the past two years and it's in a very good location. The weekend was great!

Hope everyone made it back home with no issues. We're looking forward to seeing everyone again!

I want to second what Brian said about the hotel and restaurants. Hotel was great price-location-best of all secure coverage for the Vipers. Brittany (and Patrick) thanks, the eating places were great. No one knows what goes into choosing a place to eat unless they have done it before, so much to consider, from parking/pricing/food options great job. Notice I listed parking as #1...Great job.

No, Hap, not the Club, just you. I stopped by Bimini's on the way out Sunday afternoon and warned them that you guys were coming by for dinner and to keep an eye on the big guy who has a habit of picking up things from other tables, like tips, sunglasses... By the way, thanks for letting Jay and I freshen up before leaving after the day on the beach. Sorry your experience wasn't as good this year at Bimini's
