    Viper ACR Extreme

Hey guys, for those who have considered or have already placed an ACR order, here are some reference pictures. I am attaching two pictures of the rear wing, so everyone has an idea of how tall and wide it is. I am hoping somebody can take similar pictures of the non-extreme wing to get an idea of the differences. The other two photos are of the rear diffuser. I know there has been some discussion about the rear diffuser being super low, and that is easily seen in the photos available online. However, the diffuser is not one piece, and the large "strakes" are bolt-on and can be removed, increasing the ground clearance of the rear. SRT was driving these cars around Woodward and going in and out of parking lots. Note that this car is also pretty much as low as an ACR can get. Therefore, by combining ride height adjustment, and removal of the front splitter extension/rear strakes (saving those for track days only), there shouldn't be a problem getting the car out for a cruise on the weekend. Hope this helps somebody! Cheers.

Sadly it isn't that simple. I believe the trunk is reenforced beyond the normal one to handle the increased downforce.

Because the balance of the car would be horrible . All of the down force mods and suspension work in conjunction with one another to balance the car. One without the other would make handle horribly and it could be very dangerous to drive.

Riiiiight. Holes in the hood and a giant ricer wing would make it dangerous to drive.... Ill let Civic Nation know that so they can all be warned.

Links to a civic producing 1700 pounds of downforce?

Gawd, that wing is huge. Any bigger and it will dwarf the car. I can't say ricer because it is a serious looking piece. I do like the fender things and wish I could get those separately on say a GTS.

Here's a better view of the awesome ACR rear! The removable diffuser strakes are shown installed.

Good pic, I was curious on the diffuser fins. Looking at the pics, my fins now are closer to the ground than these. The 3rd pic of the wing in the 1st post...WOW!

When this car sets track records all over America it's going to start selling faster than any other Gen V models. I hope that FCA will recognize that making the car more of a pure track car is the way to go. So many buyers who purchase Ferraris and Porsches are more interested in impressing their girlfriends than a car that sets track records and kicks the butts of their cherished prancing horse or VW deluxe. The ACR Extreme could possibly be the savior of the Viper. I, for one, hope so. I ordered one. It's my 10th Snake.

The ACR has different exhaust outlets "to reduce back pressure" or something like that.

    Man I love that!
