Supercharged Viper Engines Delivered to Chrysler

Well, this showed up on a Facebook link this morning. Hope it is true as from a few weeks ago:

    http://horsepowerkings.com/reports-a...update-coming/

Anyone care to explain or discuss?

I don't trust anything from these guys. Would love to be wrong, though

Nice info if true but what is he talking about with this nonsense:

"But in regards to straight-line performance, the Viper is outmatched compared to the ZR1 Corvette and Hellcat Challenger. However, it looks as if things are looking up for the king snake."

In what way is it outmatched by the ZR1 and Hellcat in a straightline?????

Only 100 horses more with a supercharger on this monster V10? Must be the emissions or something making them hold back the power a bit?

Didn't we get this same article a year ago? The "engines delivered to Chrysler" was the same language used then I believe (Allpar article?)

Not that I think they are credible, however, this could very well be true....maybe they are going to use the Arrow supercharger and de-tune it to increase the HP figure for future models. It seems like a lot of R&D went into a supercharger kit..just for an aftermarket offering? It also looks pretty damn OEM with the "VIPER" written on it.

    Hmmm....

The same article has been posted five or six times in the passed year or so. Every time people believe it and think the article is new.

Definitely saw this article posted up before. I don't think they are going to introduce a 2016 supercharged viper right after they make a huge announcement about the ACR...

I thought its already been determined here that HPK is a click bait site?

I usually don't re-forward but the date on the article said July 26th, 2015. I thought it was new. I had not seen it before.

yardi yardi yar, what ever, how come it's always other sources that make up this stuff, time and time again.

How come we don't ever hear this from our Factory sources or Vendors who are linked in with Dodge? maybe because its yet another rumor

That would be awesome...but doubtful. As others said, it is a repost from a while back, in fact the title was essentially the same wording.

Well if the Arrow supercharger makes 900HP at 6psi...I bet at 2-3psi it would put it in a sweet spot for track-ability and reliability and 750hp? Interesting rumor either way. I want that damn supercharger to come out already!
