How many people have done this on the stock amp? Is it worth the effort/$$?
I think I am going to go forward with this just want to make sure people are using stock setup for this sub and not getting a separate amp. If I have to get a separate amp, I will just get a custom box in the foot well or something.
Personally, I wouldnt use the stock amp with that sub.
I have that sub in a custom sealed box in the bulkhead using an aftermarket amp for my 08 vert. The fit and look is nice, but the sound just isn't there. I think the sub is too small to make a significant difference. Anything over idle drowns out the sub.
Footwell. Cannot build a box for center mount that has enough air volume in it to support the sub.
If someone wants to make a sub box for the footwell with nice fit/finish for a 8" id be interested.
