I have the Simpson. I am an instructor for Porsche club. I have an earlier version that shipped with a seat pad that had a cutout for the spine of the head/neck restraint. I only used the cutout pad one time because I was not uncomfortable without the pad. I got it because most of my students only have stock belts. I also wear a full racing suit. I wear both because I was in an end-over-end wreck in a 911GT3RS that was on fire. Never got in a student car again without a suit or my head/neck restraint. Just practice getting out of a car with it on in case something happens and you have to get out before EMS arrives.
I have had 3 Vipers and last was a gen 4 ACR. The restraint was fine in the ACR with Team Tech 6 point harnesses. I only had the restraint in the ACR one time before I sold the car. If I was going to keep tracking in my own car w 6 point belts I would use a standard heck/neck restraint in that one.
