Recently decided to change up the looks of the 08 a bit. I contacted Nick (reidperformance@gmail.com) AKA White Out and he hooked me up with some parts. If you need anything contact him first!

I planned to do a write up on the APR splitter install however the thing actually came with usable instructions!!!! The job says about 2hrs and that's about spot on. I took 2 1/2 however I took a break in between and did some additional detailing in area's that don't get cleaned too often. I also wasn't in a huge hurry as I have other projects going on with the car :).

Since I purchased this car back I decided to add 360 Forged 8 mesh (19/20) with Invo's. Currently the car is sitting on Eibachs but I'm also going to give the BC Racing coilovers a try.

This winter I will be adding smooth tubes, ACR brakes, full Belanger exhaust, BC coilovers and maybe Black Chrome Sidewinders (for the track). All of these parts are ordered or in my garage so its a matter of finding the time to install.

Here are some recent pictures. Also if someone doesn't make a rear spoiler (similar to the Gen V soon) I am going to get resourceful and design my own!!

Such a great looking Viper!

Are you thinking about adding the rest of the aero pkg? canards, wing..?

A track buddy of mine has an '08 that he 'ACR cloned' and it looks awsome! handling at the track is great too.

I would like to but after having my ACR IDK if I will. The canards are actually on their way here as we speak but IDK if I want that big wing on the back. I loved it on the ACR just don't know if it would flow with the look I am going for. That and I have the APR splitter which is nothing compared the ACR one and I am afraid of aerodynamically throwing the car off balance. Although I like the over look of the APR better as it looks more high end opposed the cheap plastic look of the ACR factory one.

Tim- the car looks great with the 360's. Those are the wheels for your car. I also like your idea of putting a blue stripe around the lip, it'll give the wheel some contrast. I also agree that the huge wing ( park bench ) on the rear would b a bit too much... Still giving those CCW's some thought.

Lip looks great. Might have to go with that when I get my 08 hood. Love my vert, but that coupe looks so hot!!

Damn that APR splitter looks good! Just wish there wasn't one so pricey.

This might be a stupid question, but how fast can you go with the splitter on? Currently I have a ACR wing, but no front aero. I would really like a true ACR splitter, but can't justify the cost.

Tim,

I know you're going to do a write up on the splitter, it looks great and actually looks like it might provide more downforce than the stock ACR splitter with track extension. What are your thoughts? Is it mounted in a way that you could actually stand on it (I'm assuming at 150 mph it's got to have at least 200 lbs of downforce on it) and it and the mounting hardware will hold up? Keep up the good work, car looks great but a little cold, lol.

Cheers,
George

George,

I've decided to go a different route once again lol. I'm going the route of ACR Cloning my car. I actually have all the parts minus the rear wing.

Tim,

Did you have the APR splitter installed, and if so, what did you think of the mounting system?
