Trying to find out when they will have better discounts here on the east coast. The dealers who I talked to only want to move to invoice. Waiting for something like a rebate from srt that probably will never come.

I think that theory applies to anyone with a 2013. With 14's already starting to pile up 20k my go to 25-30k if SRT steps in and offers the dealers some assistance.

102k on a adrenaline red track pack. I know in socal they are going for 96-98k.

I told him that price isn't going to work for me he said make an offer and ill run it by the owner.

Kind of impossible to predict an invoice price on a Viper for most of them are equipped differently. The TA on the other hand all seem to have the same MSRP therefore the invoice would be the same on all TA's.

I dont know what you meam by dealer cash back. Are you talking about the holdback? If so I have no idea. Just sucks seeing srt's on the east coast not really getting discounts while they are moving srt and gts below invoice elsewhere.

Cash back or Dealer Holdback?.

viperdan
12-08-2013, 10:13 AM
Every car has a "hold back" and it's usually around 3% of the MSRP, and yes it's pure profit. Cash back is factory incentive money that is offered by the manufacturer and SRT should be employing this on the 13's by now.

I just would like if someone with "connections" would reach out to someone who knows what srt would like to do with these 13' snakes. I dont know how bad the sales numbers have to be for them to entice us to buy them. I dont think cutting back numbers and having so many 13's left and them fire selling the gts is a good sign.

20k off MSRP on a GTS is pretty good; quite certain its well below invoice; they won't give them away.

I think the problem is that most of the people who want the car can't afford it and most of the people with the coin don't want it; what a pickle.

It's not the economy; aventadors sold out with a 100k premium.

On a positive note, me & 400 others bought the v sight unseen and enjoy it overall.

The viper in the add in $17K below MSRP, not $20K

Mark-up on vipers runs from a low of 5.5% to a high of around 6.2%. Holdback is slightly less than 3%.

If the dealer honors that price listed and doesn't tack on other selling fee's, he's losing about $4,500.00

Oh forgot to mention that he'd take an extra 3k off if the buyer was a via member per a reliable source, so that's the 20k I was referring to.

Losing thousands versus the tens of thousands in mark up the average dealer boasted a few months ago is quite a difference. Greed is my least favorite sin. Muahahaha

Yeah... I would but I have a trade in

So get some quality pics out to them and start working on a deal. I'm sure they can give you a fairly close trade number without seeing the car. It is a Viper not a Caravan. If they really want to move it you could probably even save yourself the 1500$ shipping and have them store it until summer when you can drive your car out to them and drive the V back.

Am I missing something in this thread, do I hear that people feel that Dodge should give money back to the dealers because the cars are sitting ??!! The cars are SOLD to the dealers, the dealers can now decide what they wish to get for the cars, some dealers are still wanting 10 or 25 over sticker, and especially with the 14's already arriving...my $.02

It doesn't matter who is holding the bill. 2013's sitting on lots is bad for SRT.

Not to be rude, have ever you ever driven any car w 600 torque not to mention 640 hp. Just asking because the torque is intoxicating along w that go fast pedal. Enjoy and be careful, and again just asking.

Man I know how you must be feeling. Awesome. My Viper just keeps growing on me if you can imagine that, it is a freakin' blast. I'm tracking it on 12/21 - 12/22 at Buttonwillow Raceway, it'll be my fourth track in the Gen V. It is a dream on the track. Fun for weekend trips with my lady as well.

NJ, My wife loves it. She is a car nut as well. The Car was very weird for the first 20 miles cause I was adjusting everything to fit my style. It was amazing comfortable on such a long trip, Something you would never expect a viper to be. I don't think my neighbors were too pleased last night when I arrived home at 1 am haha.

Yeah, I think they just wanted it gone and off the floor. The dealership was very big but you didn't feel like they neglected you or treated you any differently then a small/mom and pop dealership would. It was a great experience.
