Hey everyone, just wanted to make sure this opportunity was made available to all the VOA members out there.
September 17-19 the Lone Star Le Mans returns to Texas at Circuit of the Americas. For those of you not familiar with it, it's the only Texas stop on the IMSA/TUDOR series, WEC, and Continental Tire series tour of North America. ViperExchange has a Viper GT3 in the GTD class of the TUDOR series (that's a lot of initials) and us Texans plan to be there to support them. The more the merrier! Even if you're not from Texas, that's alright, we would love the company.
The Texas VOA chapters have been diligently working to provide a great weekend of racing, eating, fellowship, and cruises. The impromptu after parties back at the hotel are known for being a lot of fun as well. You can visit the Circuit of the Americas web site here (http://circuitoftheamericas.com/lslm) for more information on the race itself, and you can visit the North Texas VOA web site here (http://texasvipers.com/) for more information on what we have scheduled for you, as well as logistical information concerning ticket purchase (don't buy them from the COTA web site), hotel reservations and schedule.
Just a brief run down looks like this:
Friday: Spend the day at the track watching practices, Ferrari/Lambo races and qualifying. A sponsored Barbecue dinner Friday night in Lockhart with a chance to hear from and ask questions of a Texas Viper Celebrity. I imagine there will be some cigars and drinks back at the hotel.
Saturday: Spending the day at the track again, watching practices and races. Catered dinner Saturday night will be back at the hotel. Afterwards, the WEC 6hr race will be taking place back at COTA for those of us who would like to watch that, or round two of cigars and drinks back at the hotel for those who would rather stay in for the night.
Sunday: Breakfast on your own, followed by a Hill Country cruise and lunch before saying our see you laters.
It promises to be an amazing weekend and was one of my favorite events of last year. Please make plans to attend and show your support for Viper Racing and meet some new people!
