I don't want to be mean, but this needs to be shared. I'm sorry, but you have to at least care about the car enough to not call it an SRT8.

I would think that anybody representing any kind of car dealership or any kind of car related business, should at least be somebody that cares or knows something about cars.

This guy seems like his last job was in the men's department at Sears or K-Mart selling ties or something.
....and that was probably only last week.

At least he knows SRT is a brand! (maybe) last week I was talking to a vendor for Mopar and a lifelong Mopar enthusiast and they both couldn't name all the brands of Chrysler! They both thought SRT was an option...

I think someone needs to get it to Jalopnik. They've been doing the Viper favors so far. Maybe some press that shows why dealers like Roanoke, Woodhouse, and Tomball are selling Vipers just fine.

Pretty soon he may be wearing it somewhere else.

Maybe he could be a desk clerk at Motel 6..........

You know, it has to be frustrating as the head of SRT seeing this stuff.

SRT has such an up hill battle it seems.

I mean, the dealership is trying, but lord, get it right.

He's actually less on point than it appears; since the false new vibe put out there and generally accepted is that SRT is a distinct brand.

Nice try but my Manufacturer's Statement of Original (MSO), Title, Regustration Insurance Card and Municipal Excise Tax Bill all have the car identified as a "Dodge" still. And when you go into or speak with a dealer, it is pretty evident.

Now that dude could sell some Vipers.

Whatever idiot remarks or confused statements he would make, they would be funny in a cool way, and they would not look like some uniformed guy that doesn't know one car from another.

How much training goes into being a car salesman? Less than the two week course at a community college to be a realtor?

A salesman actually goes thru a very rigorous training session related to how to wear a suit. No just "anyone" can wear a suit !!

Bahaha. Deal a day...short profit on the new model..rape them on the trade and service costs. They got away with so much for so long but now it's pay back Time for the consumer...all with a click and information is everywhere .

For example, see my new thread on a V listed for $20k below MSRP; and btw it's a GTS.

In actuality it's not the fault of the speaker, who the heck did the proof on the ad? Let's face it, most of us never get in front of a camera and he was probably nervous. Why would whoever is making the video not redo it until it was right, they are just as guilty for letting it be if not more so IMO. And most of these dealers aren't focused on selling Vipers like the big boys are, these guys thrive on Jeep and mainstream car sales, not a car they'll sell one or two of a year.

I was on NADA and Kelly Blue book to see the used values of 2013 Vipers and Neither had the Viper listed under Dodge or SRT,

But NADA had this note next to the Dodge button,

"In 2010, RAM Trucks was established as its own division of Chrysler and was spun off from Dodge. For 2014-2010 RAM Truck pricing and information, click here."

Interesting.....This I was unaware of.

This makes it quite interesting when stopping @ the local auto parts store. The counter help will argue with you about it everytime

Sales: " sir; its not showing up.
Us: Look under RAM.
Sales: Sir that's just the model.
Us: JUST LOOK!
Sales: oh.....wow that's weird.

Yes, very true and insightful !!

They take away the most qualified Dodge/Viper dealership that ever was and instead allow these buffoons in the video to sell Vipers.. what irony.
