We rented out the drag strip about a month ago, they shot video of my runs. It was my first time at the drag strip with this combo, I was mostly wanting to try and perfect the launch. The clutch wouldn't hold higher rpm launches, unfortunately. These were all around 4000 rpm launches, cutting 1.68-1.71 60' times. When I left at 5200-5500, it was magical and I'd cut low 1.52-1.55 short times, but the clutch would then slip in 2nd gear. I ended up finishing off 2nd gear in my trans, it was on it's way out before the rental. But, that trans survived over a year of this power level, not bad for a completely stock 2013 Viper TR6060, which I purchased used from SRT. The 2013 Vipers have a stout transmission!

Great runs! Was this with spray and blower or just blower?

Paxton 900 rwhp + N2O 130 rwhp. I spray it in 2nd gear and up. I was planning on making some blower-only passes later that day, but shredded my 2nd gear synchros.

Are you going to have Donato rebuild it or just get a new 6060?

KP Racing in Houston has a tech that has rebuilt hundreds of Tremec trans. I'll just get them to freshen it up. Easier to deal with, being local.

Yes, 18" drag radials.

Noticed that, too. That's really handling nicely for a stick, that power level, and DRs. Good driving!

Who is your point of contact? I might have to send them a tranny.

Nice runs. You still have a lot left in it. You weren't fully hitting your 2 step. And it seemed like you bogged almost every launch. I think you have some 1.3s in that thing. I was launching the exact same way you were and I was hitting 1.5 - 1.8's consistently. Get your 2 step down and you can definitely drop it.

No 2-step on my car. Clutch wouldn't hold harder launches, as mentioned in first post. Getting trans rebuilt now, will upgrade clutch too. Next track rental Jan 26.
