July 11, 2015...IN/KY VOA Meeting/Tour Bear Wallow Distillery...

Our lunch and VOA meeting will start at NOON EDT at the Brown County Inn, Nashville, Indiana. The Inn is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Indiana State Road 46 and Indiana State Road 135. See map link: http://www.browncountyinn.com/content/directions-indiana

Afterwards folks can leave their car in the parking lot (where we have VOA only parking) and shop in Nashville or enjoy a tour at Bear Wallow Distillery just a few miles down the road.

PRICES at Bear Wallow: Tour and sample tasting is $5.00. Tour, sample tasting, cocktail and a Bear Wallow shot glass is $15.00. Or if anyone just wants a cocktail only without the tour and tasting they are $5.00 to $6.00 each.

CONVOY from Indy:
A group will gather around 10:00 AM (EDT) at Indy's Champion C-J-D-R located at 4505 WEST 96th St. (just 2 blocks west of Michigan Rd...US 421) . Use I-465 Exit 27 to get to West 96th St.
The Convoy will DEPART at 10:15 AM...taking I-465 West, then South and then East to I-465 Exit 4. Here we will take Ind. State Road 37 SOUTH to State Road 144. Traveling EAST on State Road 144 until it intersects State Road 135 at Bargersville (where others will join the convoy). Take State Road 135 SOUTH to Nashville. At State Road 46, go East about a block, and turn right (South) into the Brown County Inn parking lot.

With ALL of the recent rains, please be mindful of possible flooding and the hazards of driving through standing water. Our Snakes are Road Snakes, NOT Sea Snakes. Several years ago, a 1998 GTS took in a "gulp" of water turning into a hotel parking lot..and, promptly HYDROLOCKED the engine. The replacement engine was $20,000.00 !!!
