Ouch, well he was lucky he went off where he did, other bends have a much steeper drop!

I've been lucky in life to have driven up there, its one big mountain!

They should put walls with SAFER barrier around that road.

Must have loaded the wrong track into the autopilot

Trying to figure out what the noise was for about 2 seconds before he went all Dukes of Hazard... I'm assuming it was the outside wheels coming off the edge of the pavement into the sand/dirt but the timing must be off on video with the audio sync because in the video he appears to be easily on pavement when you start hearing it. Thoughts?

I noticed that too; wondering if he had lifted off the gas or if a corner got light. It wasn't so noticeable in the other various camera views. I couldn't draw a conclusion about what happened.

Caught rut (water run) on the inside of the turn, off pavement. Looks like he over corrected. I have driven that road many times and it is not to be taken likely.

Not a Probst fan. Glad he is okay but he should stick to flat tracks and giving thumb up videos during BS track record runs for Chevrolet.

Something definitely happened before the crash and he didn't appear to be trying to over drive the car. Odd thing is he never said anything before the crash.
