What a weekend, 2 Days Driving our cars on track for the ""Children's Trust" (Caring for children with Brain Injuries)
We give up our time, petrol and tires to give paid joy rides (3 laps around the best bits of the Top Gear track in England)
In 2 days a total of £115,000 was raised! It was a fantastic achievement.
For your information we had over 16,000 through the door and carried out well over 2500 rides over the 2 days.
Should have got a prize for the best set of 11s :drive:

Why we do not see more of these types of events here in the U.S. baffles me. Probably lawyersand letigation which usually ruins everything or eventually ruins everything. Great job!

We sign disclaimer forms before we go out on track, if anything gets damaged car or track it comes out of our own pocket, we have a drivers briefing explaining that there are only two overtaking straights,
1 immediately after Bentley corner and Bacharach the other after Gambon corner and Wilson corner. Bacharach is a hard corner to get round, its off camber and its easy to loose the rear end.
If the car in front starts to brake, that indicates a braking zone for all cars, no overtaking in the corner (only after).
If you have a young child in the car Headlights must be used and speed reduced to around 70mph.
Overtaking on the Left only.
No out braking each other into corners.
Max speed for cars 100mph Cough Cough :D Some were doing in excess of 130mph :D
Best fun Ever :)

To add to this the Sporting Bears also attended the event (giving rides on the public roads) and raised £8778, which is included in the total above. Not sure what capacity I'll be there in next year but I'm sure I will be there :)
