Man I agree with their top road rage creater - texting and driving . . . talk about weaving slow pokes! They are supposed to start ticketing slow left lane drivers here in Texas but I haven't seen it happen . . . yet.

I'll admit I was a texting-while-driving individual. but since driving a manual almost everywhere now, i never do it anymore.

parents should be buying their teens manuals.

It's an interesting issue. The LEO mentions that a 50 MPH left lane driver is not as dangerous as a 90 MPH left lane driver. I'm not so quick to accept that. Depending on the road conditions and traffic, a "slow poke" left lane driver can be EXTREMELY annoying and anger provoking. Personally, I'd guess that most of the times I've driven "foolishly", it began with the rage that built having to be stuck behind someone in the left lane for miles.

In many states it is illegal to pass a car on the right. So when you zip around that asshole in the left lane, you're breaking the law.

That is true granger. Though if it was done as a defensive maneuver, then you are ok. What I mean is, of you go to court and say the person was doing 50 in a 75 in the left lane and clearly not paying attention and you did it to get away from a potential dangerous situation, you will probably get let off. Just don't wave at them with one finger as you pass.

I have driven across the country and I swear the 10 between phoenix and Tucson is the worst for people just cruising in the left Lane with 20 cars behind them. And I will be flashing my brights and weave behind them and they still dont notice. A person has to be pretty out of it not to notice a big black pickup blinking its brights or a red viper coming up behind them. That's what's scary. They are probably watching the DVD with the kids.

Glad you stopped texting. My '08 roadster was run into by a driver texting and not paying attention when she changed lanes into me. How she could miss a loud (corsa catbacks and bellanger headers) red car right next to her was a mystery to me but she did own up to it and fixed my canard (has the 'vert ACR conversion). You wouldn't believe what that composite did to her driver and passenger door!
