Alternator failed...spare I borrowed from another driver not working. I'm willing to drive a couple hours to pick it up!

Already tried every source nearby. NAPA ordered one in, arrived this morning. Way wrong part...

Part numbers still legible are:

Shit. Is Jon B out there right now? I thought he was.

Sorry to hear it. Best of luck.

Doesn't the Jeep Alt fit?

Viper-specific part. Idler and tensioner pulleys from some other product lines fit, but not alternators.

Alternator didn't charge on the car, nor did one I borrowed from another driver.

I didn't have a chance to bench-test it. I found out these alternators are not internally regulated. They are regulated by the ECU. There may be a problem with that, or another wiring issue.

Car is now at Tom Sessions.

If your voltage regulator is busted that requires an ECU replacement... Or hardwiring in an external kit like the ERCK kit for Dodge/Jeep vehicles.
