LOL....I really liked that video. Oddly I had a bit if a nervous / anxious felling in my stomach watching him slide around the track - not too sure why though?

Makes me wanna go drive my car now.
Thanks

About time we see a POSITIVE review. Good video, and a good driver.

A good driver indeed, Justin Bell. Yes THE JUSTIN BELL who won the 1997 FIA GT championship in the GT2 class in a Dodge Viper GTS-R, racing for Team Oreca. He also won his class in the 1998 24 Hour race of Le Mans, again in a Dodge Viper GTS-R, racing for Team Oreca.

I would say Justin Bell is a big and prestigious part of Viper Racing History and he also is the son of Derek Bell, best known for winning Le Mans 24 hours race five times.

I was rather amused by the fact that so far he was just called "a good driver" in this discussion and nobody recognized this very talented former racer.

I recognized him the second you can hear his voice. He's done different tests for many magazines and on tv too. The only other pro driver mags like to use more is pobst. But I remember watching JB in the early 2000s.

Great video, thanks op.

I knew who he was, I guess I was being redundant. Still a great video.

Probst is a paid for weasel. Wouldn't trust a single number he produces. Never liked the guy! He is GM's mole.

Maybe he was their mole at some point, but I would say after his review at Willow Springs in the new Z06, they either got a divorce, or he wanted a new contract. :furious:

We need a t shirt with those winning stats so when a knucklehead says the viper is a straight line car I can just point to it instead of wasting my breath.

Great vid!

Excellent video. Having done a few hundred laps at Big Willow in my 2014 GTS in the last six months I can say that he nails the handling description. I'm REALLY impressed with his sliding through Turns 3 and 4. Not the easiest places to pull that off because of track surface changes. I wish they'd shown a full lap with metrics, though. That would've been interesting.

Ever meet the guy in person.?..he's a pretty good driver and pretty honest and proper at what he does.
I've raced against the guy in pro level races and can say he has the skills..I've known many people that have had dealings with him for many many years and can say he's a pretty good dude.
He's is a paid wheel man, and like other people and even like us is entitled to his opinions.

..the Viper no doubt qualifies as a Super Car.
None of my other cars got this my attention also...kinda too much if you ask me, and I figured since my cars black I would be sliding under the radar.

Haha, hard to slide under the radar with a wing on the back. You can see that thing coming from a mile away.

He gets a lot of respect from fellow racers, and from me for the insight he passed on when I was considering the Gen V. Very honest guy, and always happy to help.

I think the hate for Pobst was when he couldnt wring out more performance from a viper. Face guys, if he can't wring it out, 99% chance you will not be able to either. These stock 1:33 LS times done by PRO's is a far cry from average drivers. For reference Darius ran his TA with slicks and I believe was running 1:35? Just what I remember reading when Darius posted some vids of his TA on better than stock tires. Although, I believe there might have been course traffic.....
I know its different day and all, but pro drivers whether paid or not are very good drivers. lol, sounds redundant i know!

Anyways, thanks for the vid OP. Any reviews of the Viper i always enjoy. People who drive/own and use them on tracks are my heroes, keep living the dream!!!
